  • what our players get up to on a sunday night

so we have just had another loss on Saturday...we are in contention for the spoon.

the following day what should our players be doing?

drinking their sorrows away? resting up and gearing up for a big week of training to get a win and win back some pride??

well..at least i have some idea and can actually wake up to the reality of why our team is so sh1t.

last night i was dining at Bondi Pizza Bar with friends - we had an outside table (we just watched Manly destroy the knights a few hrs earlier) and to my dismay i see 2 of our players running down the street like drunken gooses (not the first time i have seen 1 of them like this only 100meteres up the road previously - the last time 1 of them was with the captain of our club outside ravesis, boozing with 2 of the same players i saw last night - fortunately BA was not there this time and he is off anyway).

As a platinum member of our club, it saddens me that i actually am naive to think our players actually give a sh1t. Yes 1 or 2 dont always have to ruin it for everyone else but i am sick of our players taking the p1ss like they actually give a sh1t. both are starting XIII players.

1 of them is getting paid $300k + and has been injured most of the year and his form of late has not been too impressive.
the other is 1 of our most penalised players and recently re signed with the club.

both players are now in my target range for a verbal spray and they both got one last night from me too..they are a disgrace.

Professional rugby league players should be looking after themselves and they owe it to the fans who pay good money to watch them be professionals.

i know that there is a lot of talk that next year we have lots to look forward to, the season is over for them they have nothing to play for etc etc well last night p1sed me off and i think our fellow rooster fans deserve to know that there are some players who turn up to get their pay cheque and some who play for the pride in the jersey.

I think he pretty much gave the players up in those not too subtle hints BA. Or maybe I read it wrong?

            nothing new.

at least 6 of our starting line up were getting drunk the sunday after the pathetic loss to parra.

So much for brian smith cleaning our club up. The biggest spin you will ever hear.

Who cares - at least JWH has a go. Tasi, Mose and Kennedy have been crap all year.

What a bunch of whineing losers our supporters are. Gee, you would think we are the only club that have players that do this.

I live in Brisbane, and spend most weekends watching the Broncs haveing some fun. Fancy 20 year old blokes getting on the piss.

Well they aren't going to be sitting at home weeping that they had a loss. I'd be more worried if they are doing this the night before the game. we have had far worse problem over the last few years. I'm not really surprised or bothered.

I can only assume one of them was running sideways, slowly, weighed down by his wallet and the other was stopping ever 10 metres to check his reflection in shop windows.
These two act like superstars, and are currently playing like reserve graders.

I hope threads information has gone to the club.

yeah it does bother me because i let it slide earlier in the season when i saw them boozing but now i am frustrated at the lack of accountability our players have and the leadership they need to show as professionals. they don't give a sh1t.

true that... although he gives away 2-3 penalties too many each week. personally i rate JWH but i expect better from him off the field.

because winners whine? what is there to do in Brisbane besides booze up? nothing wrong with having fun - they have an off season for that.
a professional athlete should be giving his / her absolute best and be accountable for their performances during the season and should do everything to be in peak physical condition.
i know that 90% of players in NRL are playing with injuries and boozing when you have 2 weeks left to play - the wooden spoon is at stake and so is the pride of our club... the players have 2 weeks before they can go on holiday.

Well they weren't breaking any laws, were they? It was a Sunday night, which is the only night of the week they can let their hair down, as they would've had to read 0.0 alcohol at recovery on Sunday morning after the game. They are 20 something year olds! It doesn't worry me too much that they are skylarking on their night off, if they were late for training this morning they will be punished or dropped, so I'm prepared to cop them some slack. More concerning have been reports over the years about piss ups the night before a game!

So out of the 272 NRL players that play each weekend do you think that the only ones on the p!ss are Roosters players?
Gees you make yourself look dumber and dumber with every post.
