When I said Nick wants & loves the power it is the way I percieve Nick. I dont know him from a bar of soap but I perceive him to be not only rich but a man who thrives on the positions of power. I perceive him to be I will give an example the Board is having an urgent meeting but Nick isnt happy with the height of his chair he is sitting in so that has to be addressed before the meeting can start..

I have no doubt you are right.. This is so prevalent in the company I work for.. The company president is 67 years old and the dividends he receives each year from his share holdings could feed a small African country but he is still out there wielding his power like a giant stick trying to sue all the competition... Another of the execs loses it if every ppt presentation he receives is not all in the same consistent font and colour scheme that he likes...

For Nick I reckon it is a case of some people play fantasy football but he lives it.. He feels entitled given he has stumped up a lot of cash over he years to run the club and team his way and have a say over selections, captaincy etc.. Also if you are on his right side he is extremely loyal. I know for a fact that he has used his influence to ensure certain players are offered contract extensions regardless of form (not talking about Braith of Mini) based on there dedication to the club.

The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

          Here's looking at you, kid.

                • Anything to read into Bennett and Smith missing the finals 2 seasons in a row and Sheens struggling to make the 8 yet again?

I'm of the belief first grade coaching is becoming more of a young man's game by the season, perhaps it's time we got with the program Nick.

                    Not in my book.
I had the Knights well down my list of premiership favourites.

More like up and coming game-breaking champion players are few and far between these days.
Playing is becoming a young man's game, the game getting faster every season IMO.
...lots of FG players have recently retired or are on the verge of retirement.

Having said that, I'd make Brian Smith Coaching Director for next season and appoint JT as coach, and see what happened.

Bennett still has some good times ahead I believe but I agree Smith & Sheens are probably better suited to advisory/consultant roles.

                          • Raiders' "short passes to big props and backs running straight and at pace" is not a new tactic in the game.

                            Any coach can teach that.
