Or if the club believes that they are sticking to a strategy which will take time to bear fruit? Sacking a coach is not the only lever a club has to pull - it just sometimes seems that way.

Bennett should be sacked. Unlike Smith, Bennett has unlimited resources at his disposal and has complete control of the team. Despite all this he has managed to miss the 8 with one of the premiership favourites.

I would be all for keeping Smith if the team was showing any remote improvement, unfortunately since the 2010 grandfinal the club is going backwards in almost every onfield metric.

They don't get that the players have turned on several recent coaches after the honeymoon period and that the players poor attitudes are a big part of the problem. It is much easier to blame everything on the coach, and then feel vindicated when we perform well for the new coach...until the next excuse arrives.

Trent Robinson is the one we need to go after, he was a key to our 2010 run, also has worked miracles with a very ordinary playing roster at Catalans.

I think a lot of the Aust coaches in Super League build in a get out clause if they get an NRL head coach role.

They were one of the premiership favourites only because Bennett is there.. They have an extremely average squad of players..
