  • Lama tasi!!!

Am i the only one that thinks this kid isnt as good as he is made out to be?

I know he has been carrying a few injuries but i have been following his progress all year and i honestly cant see the hype.

Players like Mary Kennedy and JWH have their good and bad games, but you can see the potential in them.

As for Lama,i havent seen anything close to his reported potential.
I hope i am wrong, also players like Kane Evans and Dylan Napa will be breathing down his neck in years to come.

I understand your concerns and I agree that he hasn't shown as much as most would have expected, given the hype.

I think the current strength of our club is reflected in the second part of your post - we have a good stream of quality kids coming through so if one or two don't reach their potential, then we have a plan B and C.

Personally I have great faith in the state of the production line and I can see it bearing fruit from next year on.

Give him some time, he's a very young prop with injuries. How bad was Kennedy going up until recently?

he was teh Dogs' number one signing priority. That speaks volumes.

All players have under performed through BS coaching. Even Mose who mostly shits me with his lazy attitude can perform better had we had a better coach...can I say like a Bellamy? Whilst we have BS as the head coach, we're only going to be competing for the wooden spoons. 0

Liek we did in 2010? If our players pull their fingers out we wont win wooden spoons, Smith or no Smith.

Young and raw, habibi. Patience is something our club has never had, from management to the fans. Patience.

There's definitely some parts of his game he needs to work on but no reason why he can't reach his potential.

Unlike someone like Masoe who imo always had massive question marks over his workrate in defence and his lateral movement I think Tasi's issues are minor and if he's reflected coming off the bench into a forward pack that is getting dominated and doesn't have the ball a lot of the time.

I think he's got a real good centre of gravity, hits the line well, keeps driving after contact well. Needs to get slightly more involved with some more runs but again more a reflection of the team he's playing in and needs to tighten up in defence just a little.

I'm happily whistling with our kids.

Yeah, 25-26 and around 100-150 first grade games is when I really start to notice them coming good. Lazarus, Webcke, Scott, Harragon - they were all around that age when they really hit their straps. There's exceptions to the rule of course but I would say that's pretty close to the mark.

Of course...they will only pull their fingers out if they respect the coach. Even Fittler had a good run as a rookie coach until the players saw him as just one of the guys. That 2010 is your 'new coach' syndrome. Get rid of Smith and bring someone of the caliber of Bellamy and respect from the players will always be there.
