He didn't leave because of smith, he left because he's a F**kwit that didn't give a sh!t about our club or our colors. Smith did more for that young man than any father would do for their son.

I'm in a way happy for smith leaving but I'm not going to pile more crap on someone's back when they don't deserve it.

There was no indication that carney would have changed and I'm glad his gone, too.
It's about time Smith was let go. He ran out of ideas and did not command any respect to get the team to dig deeper.

It was inevitable, he chose this squad and thus he needed to make the top 8 with this squad. Letting Ryles go was what tipped me.

What I will say positively about him is that for all the crap about him not developing or exposing players the club is in a much stronger position with guys like RTS, Moga, Tupou, Tagive, SKD, JWH, Kennedy, Friend, Aubusson, Guera, Cordner, Tasi & Arona all either having improved or getting a good taste of footy over his three year tenure. This is more than we could say when we've parted ways with the last few coaches. I was too young to remember that transition of Murray to Stuart but having looked back at those teams there's certainly a sense of similarity in developing a good squad.

Whether you like it or not he's also cleaned the place up, as a supporter 2009 was easily the worst season I've ever had to endure. Waking up every morning to a headline that made a mockery of our club. Losing is one thing but being the joke of the league just takes it to a whole new level, I was on the bandwagon to keep Carney but I sit on the fence now having experienced a trouble free season where the worst thing is just a loss.

I don't hold any hard feelings towards him, I think he genuinely gave a shit about the club and he's copped this on the chin and will move on.

I thank him for everything he's done but the club has made the right decision.

Unfortunantly the coaching stocks are very slim at the moment, add to that list Mick Potter should be available as Bradford are debt ridden. After JT's sacking at the Bunnies one has to wonder is he ready for a stint again coaching 1st's, too bad Brownie is taking over St Helens as I think he's now a good coach. Maguire did a good job at Souths this year maybe if the club signed Arthur who also learned the job from Bellamy he may do similar with us.

Good question, the new coach will pretty much be told the $BW circus will be rolling into Bondi late Jan/early Feb and to deal with it I guess.
