Both players need freshening up and this is seen to be the answer by some at high levels in both clubs. Marshall is not keen to play at Wests if Sheens goes. Marshall is also known to be an admirer of Easts as a club, he was a big fan of Freddy as a kid and has a "soft spot" for us.

All parties will reach an agreement, it will be amicable, though some fans will be upset. But as always, they will get over it.

Pearce obviously has a natural affinity with the Balmain part of the merged entity. Marshall has a strong personal rapport with Uncle Nick. And SBW will be here...

Might not happen until 2014 but it may happen sooner.

Don't shoot the messenger - the message is from the same source that told me months ago that Smith was gone (as you may see looking back at some of my previous posts, I have been telling you for months Smith wouldn't be here next year).

If he has then the deal is illegal - playerss are not allowed to talk to other clubs more than a year out from contract expiry, let alone sign.

Handshakes may have been exchanged but there is no contract.

            Benji's Missus vs Pearce's Missus.

I doubt this is remotely true but if we do get a chance to sign Benji we would have too throw the cheque book at him. Simple as that.

Is this bold prediction as accurate as your other one that Stuart had signed as our coach for next year??

His contract with saints is for 2014, at this stage, so no probs signing early, but of course things can change, but now Smith has gone, he may be happy to stick around for 2013, n matter to me eithway, he doesnt own games, like good halfbacks do, but prepared to give him another chance under a new coach.

You are mistaken. The NRL rules mean you cannot talk to another club more than a year out without explicit permission from your current club.

maybe because he doesnt have any tools of his own to down in the first place.

Benji firstly doesn't have that clause anymore the only clause there is is that tigers can move Sheens on if tigers do not make the eight. If Benji did leave he would not go to the roosters he would go to Warriors and play alongside Shuan Johnson now that is a awesome halves combo.
