seems like gyngell got him the job.i would have him as chairman - he is younger minded intelligent and mixes well with young people and that is evident via surfing connections too. nick can still be involved but in a lesser capacity. its a young persons world now in football. there is a real pattern emerging of the experienced older brigade loosing touch and being replaced by a generation before them.

Gyngell resigned from our board several years ago to concentrate on his job at Nine.
He had sweet FA input in our latest coach appointment...

        • I havent been this excited about the direction of our club since the early 2000s. We have a seriously good looking side for next year and now a young coach in robinson supported by Taylor (who I think will be named his assistant) who will bring innovation and dynamism and excitement to our young team. For all the crap Politis and co have coped over the last few years, I think they are owed an apology. Smith was retained for the correct amount of time imo and did exactly what he needed to do and now instead of going after someone like Bellamy, Politis has put faith in a young guy who was our former assistant which is a big show of confidence and commitment to the future of the club. Well done Nick, well done Roosters and best wishes trent - you are certainly the man for the job. He sure as hell makes this look a whole lot better:
          1. Minichiello
          2. RTS
          3. SBW
          4. SKD
          5. Moga
          6. Maloney
          7. Pearce
          8. JWH
          9. Friend
          10. Kennedy
          11. Guerra
          12. Cordner
          13. FPN

          14. Aubusson
          15. Evans
          16. Tasi
          17. Leilua

Thats very close to the side I would pick as well Roz.
Pressure is now on SKD to hold his position with the centre options we now have...

He was just speculating, like the rest of us. Too many people on this forum want credit for being prophetic. There is a solid argument that the Warriors have a stronger aquad than ours so Smith could actually be better off over there.

Who would make way for Cooper? According to today's artical in the telecrap SBW and Cooper have been discussing the possibilities in playing along side each other in the NRL.

**** me you ****s are stupid.

What has been written in that piece of shit rag in the last few months?

"Brett and Glenn Stewart done deals at Easts"

"Taylor will get 2013 and make way for Bellamy in 2014"

"Phil Gould will be the next coach of the roosters"

And yet you still read AND believe the tripe?

                  Tards.

                      Smith had nothing to offer.
All coaches look burnt out. What good is it to be observant when what you are observing is superficial nonsense? Let's judge a coach by how stressed he looks. Good luck with that fella.

That bloke can't tackle in Yawnion mate, he'd get drilled in our game, imagine Kasiano or Trex running his way???

I'd say fullback would be his only possible option.

That said I'm with the Greedmeister, that paper is only good for arsewiping when you run short of sandpaper.

                        The FlogPen .

                        You know it makes sense.

And then our sooky players rebelled against him, except for the Newcastle game when they descided to put in an effort in front of the incoming coach...
