Maloney is the only real option for Captain, with Cordner given the vice captaincy, to gain experience, to take over when the time comes. All the other candidates mentioned, have enough on their plate trying to improve their own games, to be saddled with the captaincy.
You also need a player who can confer with the refereee's in an acceptable manner, as to not put them offside, and Maloney brings that sought of temperment to the role.

You have to be kidding, Maloney will have to prove he can make the starting 13 before you put hs name up for captain. He had a diabolical year and will need to improve by 100%.

He wont be captain but pretty sure he will be starting pivot next season. From our previous five/eighth he is an instant upgrade. The team will improve and so will Maloney imo.

Watching Tupou in the NSW Final he didn't fill me with any great confidence. Watching Oldfield play outside one of the most prominent centres (Jamie Lyon - both defensive and attacking) in the game for the last few matches last year he didn't do much to fill me with confidence either. And now we don't have any real centre depth...

I cant see them moving Mini to the wing at least for the first 6 or so rounds. If he is not contributing & we are losing then they may change him.
I hope they dont put RTS on the wing.

They have Adam Henry who with some regular FG game time could be anything. He is untried so know one could say for sure that he couldn't make it. I also like the idea of Symonds playing in the centres if required, I just hope they dont play Aubusson or SBW there.

Is Issac Liu still at the club he is a prop backrower centre. Takairangi could play in the centres if the Roosters were really desperate. So all up a possible 6 guys who can cover for Moga.

I'm with you about Adam Henry. He will do fine if required to play in the centres. I also think Sonny dill start the first couple of games in the centres too. Just to ease him back in and get the feel of the pace of the game.
But I have to disagree with you about Symmonds and the other backrowers filling in the centres. I personally hate seeing a backrower out playing in the centres, it's stupid. I think Maubs confidence was shot after a few bad games out there and it ruined his confidence.
I think we are a centre short with only Bj and skd there now. Henry and topou could probably fill in there and play well

I want Oldfield and Topou on the wings. Both are tall and fast and can take a high ball.
Moga is a centre not a winger.

Well you guys have seen more than me. Oldfield and Tupou's defence was less than avg in the games I have seen them play. Are tall. Can run. But so could Lee Oudenryn.... Not saying they won't improve but now they have too.

Leilua and SKD need to be the centres end of story.
