Pearce was one of the players pushing hard for Robinson, he is going no where for 2013, in regards 2014 it will depend how we are going early in 2013 as to whether he will stay for 2014 and beyond.

Hope so id rather keep pearce and not get cooper anywhere nere our club,,,

Cooper reminds me of a flukey style player like Benji to to risky

Also i hope pearce re-signs for 2014 and beyond ive got a feeling his going to build a realy good captain coach relationship with trent which will bring the best outer of him

I think you'll find that both games have changed a great deal since the last successful convert.

Union is absolute garbage. I think they manage about 10 minutes of play inbetween all the penalties, injuries and line-outs.

NFL like. But at least those boys put on a good hit every now then.
When was the last time there was a high profile rugby player cross codes? Since the advent of professionalism it doesn't happen nearly as much so I don't see time frame since last success as a valid argument.

I actually think rugby is closer to league now then it has ever been. Their defensive structures are far more advanced than what they were back in the 90's and they even use similar set plays with the sweep runner out the back and the like.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I want Quade Cooper here, but there are heaps of rugby players who could make the change if they truly wanted to. I would love to have James O'Connor in my team, I think he would easily make the transition

          Ditto.
I've seen him play absolute cracker's & then back it up with a few shockers.
He also goes missing BIG time when the big guys target him....and they do because he has big mouth with the slanging.
Add to the fact he is a know party boy that always seems to be in the media for the wrong reasons....and we know how that ends with Rooster's players :/

He should go to the Sharks then so he can come under the protective wing of Phil Rothfield!

No, uh, wait, scratch that last one.

Anyway, I'll be telling Russell when we're next toke...uh, eating glaze covered nuts that you feel that way.

I'd sign him in a heartbeat. I think he'll be yet another player that the Roosters faithful think will be crap but ends up being brilliant. Like Shaun Johnson, Tony Williams and James Graham. We were linked with each of those guys in the past but the supporters decided they would never amount to much and our interest cooled.
Surely you are not suggesting that the interest of supporters toward particular players, actually dictates whether or not the club signs those players? They don't give a rats what we think and nor should they.

If the chookpen had that much power no way Anasta would have lasted the year.

Now that we have a new coach he will surely have the final say on any new signings. TR will cast an eye over the squad and let uncle Nick know if there are any skinny areas. Hooker is definitely a position that needs to be strengthened. We need more depth there.

It wouldn't surprise me especially when the bottomline is involved.

the inside word from one of my sources:
cooper is not coming, in 2013.
whether you believe me or not is your opinion.
