He displayed a major immaturity by wanting to drink with players post season after being their coach at souths.
He was hard working player who over achieved.( I love this trait when it comes to coaching.)
Globally I haven't observed a huge intellect nor a Mcbeth type drive.
    Agree.
I've never been a Taylor fan. I'm very glad Politis went with Robinson over Taylor.

Does anyone else think that JT has been here solely for the purpose of being a backup if Smith was punted part way through a season?

I doubt it Chook56. Especially as Brian Smith was the one who bought him to the club in the first place in 2010 and he wasn't even paid for what he did that season. He wouldn't have bought him in as a back up in case he was punted.

I am another who is happy JT was not given the job as NRL coach. Never liked him as a player and the fact he's been associated with the Vermin doesn't help either.

I've watched him speak at post match conferences on a number of occasions and whilst he can speak well, he also knows it and the smug superior attitude he exudes gives me the irrates.

If he continues on as assistant to Robinson, so be it. But I wouldn't be fussed if he found a position elsewhere and took it.
