  • Pearce/Friend pull out of Kangaroo training squad

apparently both Pearce/Friend have pulled out of the Kangaroo's training squad due to injuries/surgery, I know Pearce had been struggling with a wrist injury, anyone know what was up with Friend.

I think they were struggling with runny noses.

Thought I read Friend had an issue with his spine, could be wrong though.

If Smith Ballin Farah Ennis Payne & probably Hinchcliffe all got injured then Friend would have been in contention with the other 10 No 9's in the NRL to play for Australia. But Pearce on the other hand is 3rd in line for the 1/2 back spot behind Cronk DCE. He would have got a start if they both got injured.

After reading that, this is the only thing I could think of.

Which would have made him starting half for game against PNG. Until Souths get knocked out & Reynolds takes over.

Reynolds is a nuffie, an average player, souths have paid overs for to re sign I posted a couple of weeks prior to the semi's. souths still have the same old trouble, nuffie halves, Reynolds & Sutton, who always goes missing in big matches, and other coaches have noticed that as well.

                        I wouldn't. He's nothing special. 0 line-break assists says it all.

Isnt Friend heading off to Europe for a holiday he won or something?

                            Exactly.

Never judge a player based on the result he achieves from one year.Look at what happened to mortimer. Reynolds has a forward pack killing it, and a team going well for the whole year. Judge him when his forwards blow a tire and let's see how amazing he truly is. The great players can be judged from the ability they have to win games behind a losing pack of forwards. Lockyer for many years made the fat forwards like 5c/L look like a legendary front rower, and with his amazing kicking and passing game he was able to win premierships.

Its the way we can tell apart the Lockyer's from the Anasta's.
                            Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

                              Reynolds is steady.

He kicks well and can steer his team around the park.
