  • Will improvement in results be deemed satisfactory for Robinson?

    WINS
    2010 14
    2011 10 (-4)
    2012 8 (-2)

    WINS AGAINST TOP 8 TEAMS
    2010 6
    2011 5 (-1)
    2012 2 (-3)

    WINS AGAINST TOP 4 TEAMS
    2010 3
    2011 2 (-1)
    2012 1 (-1)

Before everyone gets emotionally involved in next season I'm interested to hear what people would deem to be a successful season for Robinson.

Would 12 wins - 12 losses be deemed a successful season?

    Finals. Only possible result.

Anything less would be an abject failure.

Top 8 and to win at least one finals game.

        "Great success!"

As with all clubs, finals is the pass mark.

Does everybody really class finishing 8th as a successful season? Did the broncos have a successful season? I think the top 8 is a false guide. but it does still give u a chance to advance i suppose.

Top 6 for me, only excuse would be an injury crisis to key players.

I would also like to see individual improvements.
Moga needs to be switched on in every game
JWH has to continue on with his late season form as does MK.
Pearce needs to take on more of a leadership role with Anasta gone.
SKD needs to have a blinder of a year.
Mini really needs to put in for the Jets.
There are more, but if there is individual improvement across the board we will finish top 6 easily.

Anything less than top 8 and we are in a world of pain.

Top 6 and a home final would be an OK result.

If SBW arrives and we avoid major injuries to key players then a final four placing (preliminary finals) is very achievable - beyond that would be a huge success considering the last two years.

                      Fewer penalties.
                      Better completion rate.
                      More for/Less against.
Improved fitness and individual performance accountability.

Give me those in 2013 and I'll declare Robbo a major success.

                      Chook.

For me if we are still in contention this time next year would be great. That would mainly mean finishing 5th or 6th, get a home semi and win it. Anything after that is a bonus.

The thing is though we should enter into every season with the goal of winning the premiership, as that is what it is all about and you do not simply go into a season to just make up the numbers.

We are a unique club, we have a rare ability to go from having the worst possible season imaginable (2009), to then making a grandfinal and only being robbed by the refs from winning it (2010). So next year anything is possible for us, and we should always remember that!!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

                            Here's looking at you, kid.

Agree that making the finals is a "soft" goal.

I'd like to see us play less erratically. While improving overall I'd want the gap between our best and worst significantly narrowed. Consistent improvement is preferable to merely steepening the tracks on the rollercoaster...
It's scientifically impossible for Easts to be in Souths' shadow when there's daylight between them and us.
