or does it seem as if a finals series goes on for longer when one of your teams are in it.

the jets have pretty much got out of jail in both of their finals games so far, it seems theyve run a marathon, and they arent even in the grand final yet, heck, they could get hammered by the scum next week.

the chooks u 20's are the same, a get out of jail win and a really tough win, and theyre still 2 whole games from glory.

haha im just happy we still have two teams in the finals.
souths had all three, and thanks to us, they now only have one.

The unders being in and not getting brutally beaten in SuperCoach are the only reasons I'm even paying attention to the finals.

Duly note that the lower grade Rooster teams have got in the finals whereas the highly paid first graders didn't even come close.

Over paid based on performance would have been a more apt description but I see your point.
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

        Yes, your correction is warranted.

I always tell my mates that if we paid our players only if they make the finals, or only signed all of them to one year deals, then we'd make the finals every year guaranteed. I always get the feeling that there are players at our club playing for a contract only.
          Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

Match payments, bonus payments and a base rate of pay.

Could you imagine how amazing FPN would be like if we only gave him those deals. He'd eclipse gallen's efforts.

I look back on the efforts of that fellow who's gone to the Tigers and wonder how much money he would have taken from us based on his efforts with that pay scheme.

We could have saved a shitload of money there for sure. If we payed him $1000 for every run and metre he gained, and -$1000 for every tackle he missed he'd make $5000 a game which works out to be 125k a season. Plus against the warriors he would have made $0 from that match.

                  give uncle Nick a call.....

If that scheme was ever bought in here, there'd be a bigger exodus from the Roosters than goats from that other place where strange men with beards live.

An extremely boring finals series. woManly vs Bullscum was overhyped amd was boring. Then I thought maybe Storm vs lol@souffs will be the entertainer. No. Horses vs Cows. Meh. Canberra vs Gummies was decent I liked that one. Cows vs woManly was average then that hand of god try made it shit. lol@souffs belting of the Raiders was sad. Yuck. The worst possible teams left. Its so hard to back one. Bullscum I hate to death never them. Manly going back to back would give me s heart attack, lol@souffs I dont need to explain and Melbourne are grubs who I dislike but Im going for Melbourne carn the Storm zbelt those bloody Flying vermin.

Maybe woManly vs Storm will be good but I said that for nearly every game. Hopefully thatll be the one.

Bottom line, the best performed teams are in the final 4. I can't begrudge any of them as a supporter of rugby league. I can only hope we can rise to the occasion next season.

What if we only use it on the underperforming players for this season:

Mini- $50k for every try he sets up/scores, -$10k for every error he makes.

SKD- $40k for every try he scores, -$10k for every missed tackle or try he lets in.

We could play some of them into form.

They'd end up owing the club.
