  • Should We Buy Robbie Farah

Just read on ZT Farah is considering leaving Wests Tigers for the Eels.
In my opinion we should't buy Farah because Jake Friend isn't that bad.

In one of the most important positions on the field, "isn't that bad" just doesn't cut it.

      definately!
we lack creativity out of dummy half.
farah is the tackling machine of friend, with the skills and speed of seluini, in one player.
i dont know what any of the three players are on, but farah cant be more than double of friend and seluini combined.
we have plenty of space, farah is an 80 minute player, which would eliminate the need for a utility player and at the same time open up an extra spot for a forward.
the only reason i see why we wouldnt is because friend is on contract until 2015.
      i would go hard out.

      1. RTS
      6. Maloney
      7. Pearce
      9. Farah

      is a lot better than

      1. Mini
      6. Anasta
      7. Pearce
      9. Friend

Friend is slow & uncreative .... making plenty of tackles is not an excuse because all hookers avg close to the high 30s-40s.

He tackles his arse off and runs teams like a general. He's passionate, fiery and fiercely loyal.

Hell yes. Throw the chequebook at him.

This is a really good point.

              Friend: 38.4
              McCullough: 41.6
              Ennis: 37.8
              Waddell: 23.1
              De Gois: 23.08
              Srama: 34.6
              Ballin: 41.8
              Smith: 40.0
              Buderus: 36.9
              Payne: 23
              N. Friend: 41.9
              Keating: 38.7
              Kingston: 48.6
              Luke: 27
              Rein: 32.04
              Farah: 32.8

The way people talked about his defence I assumed he was averaging 45-50 tackles a game. He's not.

I agree he is an attacking machine and really stepped up his defence this yr.

He is the best answer to Cam Smith and a player you can build your team around. I can never see Jake friend reaching that level , ever.

BTW who will be Playing in all the other positions which Bwaif will not occupy? Ayshford, Heighington, Ryan, Marshall are all tipped to go.
                  Comment of the year:

He's one of only a handful of non-Roosters that I have respect for. He would be an asset to this club.

Would be a massive coup and would place the club back where we belong as the leagues powerbrokers.

We have plenty of money. Seriously.

No-one the club has bought over the last two years is on big bucks.

Well, Sonny Bill but he's getting more third party cover than a person with a really good insurance policy.
