The cost of living in Sydney....

This cost of living is an urban myth. I've just come back after a year in Melbourne and what costs me $38 at Woolies Double Bay costs $50 at Woolies in Melbourne's CBD because I pretty much buy the same things every week. My health insurance premiums are now $13 a month cheaper in NSW than Victoria and what I pay for a yearly travel pass in Sydney would only get me 8 months worth of travel in Melbourne."Those who care about you can hear you, even when you are quiet" - Steve Maraboli

Nah but on a serious note, I was more referring to the housing price. Many of the younger guys in our team have actual young families to raise and Mitchell Pearce has plenty of pussy cats to entertainComment of the year:

I'd think the opposite would be the case. To be in your late teens or early 20s and get the chance to play footy and live in The Eastern Subs would/should be a massive pull in trying to attract talent???
Imagine your manager says at 18 we have two offers, Canberra or Easts, same $$$$, and you were from NZ or country NSW. I know where I'd go. And I wouldn't be thinking of saving a few bucks on rent that's for sure.

You know it makes sense.

And I never shop at Woolies, I'm a Coles man, do do do do do do......
In fact today I was having this discussion with a young lady herself originally from Sydney, the price of living in a city compared to where I now call home, sunny Tweed Heads. There is no comparison really.
I haven't lived in Melba but have friends who moved down some 6 months ago. They dont pay rent as such but have said living costs, traffic, stress etc are comparable to Sydney in general.
I do know my sister in law pays 600 bucks a week rent for a shithole 2 br flat in Bondi I wouldn't let a dog live in. It's criminal.
I love visiting my old home, I will always be a Bondi Boy at heart, but fark me I would never move back there full time.
