I have never been more excited for a brand new season for the Easts. We have gotten rid of a lot of dead wood in Brian Smith and son, Mathew Elliot and Braith. On top of that we have a young new coach with everything to prove , and he seems to have the backing of the whole roosters squad and alot of the fans !
Bring on 2013 and SBW !!!We are the Fonk

5 GF appearances in 11 seasons not enough??? Semis in most seasons since 95??? All in the middle of the SL War, the takeover of the game by News LTD, teams being forced to merge, teams excluded, the salary cap restrictions, the new TV deal etcetcetc.
And we are still moving forward as a club, thru the most turbulent era the games seen in it's more than 100 year existence. In fact we are in the process obviously of reinventing ourselves, moving with the times, making changes to weak areas in the club and making positive personel changes.
I don't understand why you would want to change a set up that seems to be working???
And Teabags you wonder why people believe you are a company man.

Good Riddance, Noyce was an abomination.
Came in 2009 and his lack of discipline led to a spoon. In 2011 we came 11th and 13th this year. A Football manager is suppose to manage. His whole handling of the Carney situation was tragic. His handling of other poor discipline situations was just as bad.
Then the Cowboys in Darwin decision was one of a egg head who doesn't think.
All he was good at was spin doctoring in damage control mode, damage to which he was accountable. Typical politician, farg the egghead.

I love it how people in the media are now saying:
"Noyce was a great bloke..."
"He did a good job..."
"It's tough at the Roosters..."
That was his weakness. Nobody remembers great administrators, be it in the corporate or sporting world, as being good blokes.
I can't recall anyone saying Bernie Gurr as being a good bloke. He was remembered for what he did.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

All the guys who take the job on are just fall guys for Nick when things turn sour.
People need to realise that coaching and administrating a professional rugby league team is a proper job.
If you fail then you are usually moved on.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.
