Who cares if POS knew. The Storm were just looking after the guys that they had developed & paying them what they were worth to stop the Broncos Roosters Dogs & every other club from poaching them. The Storm should have been given concessions for playing in the AFL heartland like the Swans get up here.
If a club develops a player they should be allowed concessions.
I like the referee having to do a post match press conference, and i think video replays should only be viewed in normal speed.
But yeah roth is a dead set fckstain and his picking on POS is a cheapshot. nothing bout bellamy not being allowed to coach in there or that his beloved corporation tried to bring down the entire game with the superleague? He is living in the past so why not bring up these issues?
Rothfield is protecting his bosses. O' Sullivan is a player scout. How can a player scout be responsible for that fiasco? Do the player scouts control the finances at the storm? No. Who controlled the finances at the storm at the time of the scandal? Rothfields employer, News Limited. Enough said.
He knows that. He loves a wind up, so do I. He is a laugh.
I suspected that, but to be honest....I'm not sure he's smart enough.
I like your posts though when you write them in his 'Jimmy Dymock should be next coach as long as we get rid of BJ, Mose, FPN, sign Sonny Bill to wear the grey jumper without any logo' style.......

O'Sullivan's signature was on a number of the contracts that's the reason he was heavily implicated in it.

The players signatures are on those contracts too, but they dont seem to be as heavily implicated. O' Sullivan would not have spent Ruperts money without consent or knowledge. There is a disturbing pattern with News Limited when they get caught out. They always plead stupidity or ignorance.

Correct, but are we not hit with the full force of the law if we are in breach & plead ignorance of such laws/rules?
Ignorance is no excuse in the eyes of the law, nor should it be.

I agree regarding the players. Bellamy is in that boat too. I find it hard to believe that the players and coaches had no inkling what was going on. If that was the case, why did Slater's manager insist on ensuring all his 3rd party deals were included in the one contract? I think he smelled something fishy and did his best to protect his client from implication.

Exactly.
And what happened to the so-called 'chief rat'? Where is he now? Gone very quiet hasn't he. Scapegoat? Not to be confused with lemongoat.
The only Melb player to have his signature on both contracts was Cameron Smith.
Neither Slater nor Inlgis signed their covert contracts, their managers did on their behalf. But as Smith doesn't have a manaager he signed both with full knowledge of the rort. Strange he's not on Buzz's list?
