The kid couldn't handle all the hype he got a the start on the season. He is still only 18 so hopefully he can bounce back.

Bring him back gently through the 20's and then the Jets for the latter half of '13, and then he can look forward to '14 with a full off-season, and being a little older and hopefully more confident. Unless we have other injuries in the 3/4's we don't need to rush him back into 1sts. He seems to me to be someone who will be best brought on slowly anyway. With his head-space right, he could be anything, but he is going to have to be built towards being a full-time 1st grader. It also won't hurt for him to come back in to a team that is more settled and (hopefully) firing, rather than the shambles he came into this year. I'm sure that didn't help.

waylander, if as speculated Moga is undergoing a knee reco later this week, there is no way he will be back in 2013, the reason the club will tell him he is a chance to return in 2013 is to keep him motivated to work hard to do the rehab to return to the field, at his age there are possible complications due his growth plates not being fully developed.

the club will tell everyone 6 months or mid-season but it simply won't happen, look at Cordner/Cherro who both had the same injuries that occured at similar times and neither played again that season.

I thought I read somewhere Dr Orchard saying Moga required a full knee reconstruction, which would mean they are replacing the ACL

I can't remember when Cordner got hurt but I'm pretty sure it wasn't this early.

Cherro got injured in the trials which are still 3-4 months away.

If it was an older player who had experience on his side we would probably see him again. I mean we are only in November even with 8 months on the sideline there would still be time to come back.

But considering we are dealing with a kid who is trying to make his way in the game they probably will leave him out.

                      • Fair enough thought it was later.

As I said he probably won't play this season because of the obvious reasons.

But we are only in November and they recover better these days. I wouldn't rule it out completely.

                            Which one?

Didn't he do both his knees in two separate pre-seasons?
