  • An Open Letter to fellow Roosters 'fans'

top your f*cking moaning and have a look at the FACTS.

1.) SBW walked out on one of our arch enemies 5 years ago... I have NO sympathy for them. In 5 years I would like to imagine he is less impressionable these days
2.) He is a true marquee player - the club will profit on and off the field
3.) He wouldn't be coming if he didn't want to
4.) One year deal is NOT bad business by the club because:

a.) If it doesn't work out we cut our losses easily
b.) If it does work out you would imagine he will be keen to stay
c.) We can effectively legally cheat the cap by allowing him to earn supplementary income from boxing/yawnion in between contracts
d.) He takes most of the risk on, he is one injury away from losing a lot of $$$

5.) He doesn't drink or party - he won't create headlines for poor behaviour (something the club can't afford)
6.) The players are all keen as mustard to have him around, they don't seem to care about his special conditions. They are the ones affected by it.
7.) He is the most damaging and naturally talented forward most of us have/ever will see.
8.) We won't lose him to Origin.

Quit your f*cking moaning and commend the club on a good bit of business.

I cannot wait to see the boy play. Get the best physiotherapist for his rehab.

I want him to drop his shoulder on Sam Burgess.

Are you Khoder Nasser by any chance?

Regarding 4c, if you'd like to let me have your details, I'll give you a shout the next time I'm selling a used car.

Personally mate, I think we sold our soul when we signed him, as well as the fact that no one knows if he can still actually play or not.

It's not like he has been sitting in a rocking chair for the last few years, or has lost his hands, arms and legs.

Lol. I love your comeback at that ridiculous comment.

Yeah, like he won't be able to play anymore he is only one of the most gifted athletes in the world. I cannot believe some of the doomsayers on here.

No matter what the club did there will always be someone whinging & complaining, always looking at the negative side. Some people just cant help themselves.

I can understand people having some misgivings and they are entitled to their opinions but at least they should try and remain credible if they want to be taken seriously. I would at least rather the club to try and sign some real talent rather than the usual reserve grade wingers we seem to want sign each season.
                        ...

Everyone is entitled to there opinion.

The signing is a big gamble but all player signings are a gamble. Injury will play a big part on how SBW performs.

My honest opinion is that I think the Roosters are mad for getting involved with him but now he is officially at the club I am very much looking forward to 2013.

SBW is the one putting so much pressure on himself, every opposition forward in the game will want to make a name for themselves by trying to put the big hit on him so he will be in for a torrid time.

Only because he is playing for the Roosters that I hope he is successful.

How do you figure that ?
He is a marquee player one of the best on the planet. He left as the best 2nd rower in the world killed it in rugby and came back. Price Stuart O'connor came direct from Rugby, I think they could play?
