First pragraph- what you do in your past make who you are today. Who we are comes from where we have been. Go for a job interview... what happens? They ring your references. You past is always with you so it is always valid. Now again, you either cannot count or you are avoiding what he did 2010 to try to further your paper thin argument. By the way, and I will say this again for your benefit as you obviously need the help, 2010 was 2 year ago.

Second paragraph- Rothfield didnt sack Carney nor did he make him do the things he did. Rothfield dribbles schyt. Dont you think the powers would be can see past that or do you think they phoned Rothfield and asked him what they should do with him? Wake up.

Paragraph 3 (that comes after 2 by the way)- No one is playing Rothfield anywhere, (including myself). I have not posted anything that is untrue. I have only stated facts frok his past. We only had Carneys past to go on and look where that left us. Tell me, are you the sort of person who burns their hand twice on the hot stove top? Me, I rather learn my lesson the first time. If you are against SBW coming because of his past, then you must want to sack Friend, Pearce, Leilua, Cherrington. You must think we should never have signed Carney. You would hypothetically be against the club signing the likes of Inglis, Hayne etc. because they have sketchy records.

To compare the guys you mentioned to SBWalkout is plain stupid. They have never walked out on their club or the game midway through a season for the sake of chasing a dollar. Stop clucthing at straws and admit that you cannot argue the facts.

I apologise for the mistake on the 2010 issue but if you know it all as you seem to want show, then you would have known about that point as well. I still maintain that you turn a blind eye for the sake of your own agenda however as you obviously know about it yet omitted your knowledge of any wrong doings over the past 5 years.

I do however feel signing Carney was a mistake and I said that from day one but you would know that wouldnt you, or are you pretending not to to try and force your argument. Carney went well for one year. Woopy do. His true colours came through eventually and I always said he was a timebomb waiting to explode. Yes we got to a GF but in the end, we made it through the final series with plenty of luck and eventually your hero Carney went AWOL in the GF like he has basically done in every big game his entire career.

I am struggling to grasp this so called lack of enthusiasm at a press conference meaning he is not keen to play NRL.. Is it too hard for some people to understand that he may be nervous when it comes to public speaking and the pressure of being at a press conference where every word he speaks will be scrutinized. It is not like it was 15 minutes before a match, he won't be playing for another 4 months. Judge his excitement to play when he is on the field, not talking to the media scum.

Good call mate, I know many ppl that made big mistakes through their youth that have gone on to do great things big things and have become stand up citizens. I made lots of stupid mistakes as a young bloke and some mighty big ones and I am greatful for all of them because I learnt so much from them, these are the mistakes that led me to be very successful personally and financially. I feel these are the mistakes that took me to a place that I still shake my head in wonder at times.

Now the most valuable thing that I learnt was to never discard anyone or judge them on their past history because people can learn and grow and be successful and add value.

I think when a person judges people on their past "they" display big limitations and I always say a man can only walk as far as he can see!

Good call mate, I know many ppl that made big mistakes through their youth that have gone on to do great things big things and have become stand up citizens. I made lots of stupid mistakes as a young bloke and some mighty big ones and I am greatful for all of them because I learnt so much from them, these are the mistakes that led me to be very successful personally and financially. I feel these are the mistakes that took me to a place that I still shake my head in wonder at times.

Now the most valuable thing that I learnt was to never discard anyone or judge them on their past history because people can learn and grow and be successful and add value.

SBWalkout was not a youth when he decided to shat all over the game of rugby league, its fans and the his own closest mates. The actions you make today have concequences and you need to think about that before you make your so-called mistakes. As far I can tell, he doesnt think he made a mistake anyway so really, he hasnt learned a thing. If you make a mistake, the first thing you do in correcting it is to acknowledge the mistake. Has he publicly done that?

So if you honestly believe your mistakes of the past have no bearing on your future, why dont you make them public and see how successful you are after? Does an employer look at your future when employing you, or your past? Last time I went for a job, I didnt see a crystal ball lying around thats for sure. If you think your past has no bearing on your future, how do they pick an origin side? They pick it based on past performance (and yes current form is still history), not where you might be on five years time. If you perform, you get the spoils. If you dont, youre not even considered. Point is, history plays it part both ways, positive and negative so to say it has no bearing on the future or someone personally is arrogant to say the least.

By the way, a man cannot walk anywhere if he is blinded by his future, nor can he cross a bridge and move forward if he has already burnt it down.

I must admire your post SC. I'm still making mistakes, some really big ones too, at age 45! It keeps us growing as people and teaches us life lessons. I do regard 22yrs as a youth at that age you think you know everything but in reality know nothing, a 22yr old has not experience imo.

I see where ur coming from in terms of the recruitment/ job interview/ resume and the trend for the last ten yrs + is to look at ur past . The questions posed are give us an example of a situation in the "past" as the theory is that what u did in the past indicates the future.
I can tell you that I was heavily involved in recruitment in the past 10yrs and I think the theory is a crock of sheet!!!! I always looked for traits in a person that I could develop, I felt this outweighed the history. I always was present in interviews because I wanted ppl to meet the person they would be working for, I wanted to gage them and look for their traits as a person. On many occasions I would over rule HR because I could see a trait that gave me greater value once developed as opposed to their history.

I still maintain that a man can only walk as far as he can see think about it mate there is alot of value in that line and always keep moving forward ....especially when you do fck up lolol!

Dont be too harsh mate sometimes ppl will suprise you in life when you nurture them as appose to dismissing them.
