Completely agree. Inglis can command it because he can play anywhere from 1-5 and be the best on field in that position. Lyon on the other hand can command that sort of money as he is simply one of the greatest captains in the game.
I agree 100&, but you actually left out the fact Inglis plays 6 too..
He doesn't really play 6 though. He is a running fullback with a bit of ball playing ability. Its just the Storm happened to have another one of those blokes in the team so Inglis was shifted to 6.
Moga has the attributes and potential to be a better player.
Agreed mate, I've never considered Folau a footballer, just a physical specimen. I see Moga in the same mould, got it physically but isn't a footballer.
Hasn't anyone read the carnt, Folau, was offered what he wanted from Watsamatta and decided to bail for more cash. Shuey had agreed to ratify the signing. Folau it would appear has used our game to further his own cause again.
This carnt smiles and nods and everyone thinks he's such a nice bloke. I see him as a traitor to our game. He has spent the last couple of years helping establish another code in RLs heartland and decides he wants to come back to the game that made him. The when his profile is again on show and our game is bending to accommodate him he goes and dumps on everyone again.
He's used our game again to further his cause. Our game made him. And the media have again been compliant and are dumping on our game.
Word is Watsamatta are filthy. They feel like they've been used also.
I hope every other sporting team in Australia turn their back on him. He's given the finger to two codes, now time for the third code to give him the finger. Pi$$ off Folau, and don't come back.
Thats the way it is these days you take the best deal, he negotiated a better deal and went for it. Just because he was in talks with parra doesnt mean he had to sign with them or league. Its just sour grapes on stickys and parra's part. Loyalty doesnt come into it anymore!

I don't give a fark about Watsamatta.
I do give a fark when someone is treating our game with contempt, again.

Folau is a carnt IMO.
He was negotiating a deal for himself his family and his future and took the best offer, its that simple. Why did he have to take the league deal? He may have wanted to go back to league but if he was offered twice the cash why wouldnt he take it most ppl would.
Folau is immensely overrated. His one skill is jumping to catch a ball.
I can remember him scoring one of the best solo tries in origin I have ever seen, as a teenager. He did the same thing many times in the NRL, just steamrolling 3 or 4 defenders on 40 metre runs to score. Folau performed from the moment he debuted in the NRL.. To compare Leilua or Moga to Falou is embarrassing.

Plus 1 here mate! I posted a thread ages ago stating my feelings towards him. He pissed on everyone and every club in rugby league circles.
Outside of that his defence is shit! He was just lucky to be gifted his physical attirbrutes and gifted that the two best teams in the comp picked him up - storm and broncs.

You can't compare Leilua/Moga to Falou you are correct. Falou played in the best teams in the comp, with the best coaches, and with the best individuals, in the best circumstances and environemnts. Leilua and Moga have played in a team full of underperforming individuals, lead by ....... something other than a great coach who seemingly couldn't find or implement a gameplan. Let alone get the best out of the squad.
The rumour is, falou signed one year with union so he could join either Souths or the Dogs in 2014, he is close to Maguire from his storm days and was prepared to wait a year rather than sign with Parra.
I am not convinced on Moga yet. Some have all the physical attributes but lack mental application. ( ie. who was the beast of a centre we had that went to super league)
Yes I know he is only a kid and he may very well turn out a champion. But I get pissed off when I see a kid like him get a crack at FG , and when his opposite beats him, he fails to chase. A couple of times he was guilty of just jogging along in the background. Some have an urgency to their game. Others don't.
I am hoping this is all to do with age or maybe due to the lack of coaching our team had. I reckon if des or bellamy had a kid doing that they would get it out of him real quick.
As for Folau, the only chance would be if SBW moved on in 2014. We could not afford both.
