theres no way either of those teams could fit folou under the cap. the only team that springs to mind that could, is the dragons

I have nothing wrong with the man wanting to earn mate, nothing at all. It's a short life in the footy codes, you gotta make while you are able to.

When he went to gAyFL I had no problem with that, it was for the cash.

I guess it's the spin in certain sections of the media I don't like. The tagging his case incorrectly onto $BWs which is totally different.

Folau took a lot of cash to draw families to another code in RLs heartland. For the media to allow him so much grace and not even question the damage he did to our game IMO is out of order.

And as others have said I don't believe the bloke is that deserving of such attention. He is a freakish athlete granted, but IMO not worth top billing as a marquee type player.

I'm not a fan of the way he has conducted business cos it's damaging to our game. He can do what he likes. I don't like it personally.

          Fark him.

Gotta shake my head at that comment.

No longer interested is an understatement, they are going on like he's the anti christ and they are glad they didn't get him. If you read what Stuart has said, he reckons Folau used Parra to chase a bigger bucks deal with Yawnion.

He dumped his beliefs when he found out he'd have to tithe a % to the mormon church, he dumped on the game that made him famous for his AFL masters and you watch the &^%* dump on League again for his new union masters today at the presser.

Glad to see the back of this selfish canoe.

Are you reffering to another post from me on the topic? If so, coming from you, that is the funniest thing I have heard. You have reworded the same SBW - NO crap for a year now. I have a long way to go to match your title for most said, same said.

I wonder Chook, if Folau had signed with us or made out he intended to, would he have been afforded the media love he's been given so far???

When someone has achieved all they have to achieve at such a young age, a larger window of opportunities can be a lot more lucrative than staying in the same place with the same old low salary. Football is a business to them (players) and to club managers, and not a passion or lifestyle like it is to us loyal supporters.

He only has X amount of years to earn as much as he could possibly can and still have fun at doing what he is doing. Both of those aspects need to be in balance. He was earning a bucket load at GWS but was unhappy. He will earn less at the tahs but may be happier than staying in the afl.

The eels would not have offered him anymore than the tahs, and from what was going around, the eels were stalling on negotiations. Goodluck to the kid and hopefully one day we see him playing for the wallabies. Rather than have league officials targeting folau over his choice, maybe they should point their rifles at their own people and ask themselves why we can't afford to keep/buy superstars in our game. The media, especially the telegraph, are going to make love to Izzy scenario over the next few years and he would have been put on their hate list alongside us.
                              Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

No thanks. Hope he never comes back to the game.

He's worse than SBW because he clearly has no respect or the game that made him a star. He had a chance to make ammends, just as SBW has done, but decided to join another circus.

I would rather have Quade Cooper here
