Our game is no longer dominated by big polys who run the ball for ten minutes and then are done for the game. There seems to be an increase in the more mobile sort of forwards who can play long minutes and make heaps of hitups and metres.Woods is one forward who comes to mind. He isn't the largest of blokes but certainly can make an impact for a long period of time in a game. More players who hopefully make a huge impact are Evans and Napa. Both are mobile forwards who have a good motor and can play for long minutes. Evans is a monster but can also play good minutes and this is exactly what is needed.
I dont think they ever dominated the game did they?

Remember that idea of the "dogs of war" that we bought into by signing Mason.

When he came to our club he played similar to what mose is doing for us now. Plays one good game followed by twenty average ones. Apart from that match against the dragqueens at the SCG in 2010, which game has mose had a blinder in?
      Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

Good luck to the big fella. Hopefully everything can work out for him at his new club.

Yeh I've really started to notice this, the dogs pack was woeful with the likes of Pritchard, Eastwood, Kasiano & now Tony Williams on his way they'll deteriorate even more.

Also Aaron Woods is massive, you sure you haven't mixed him up with Matt Utai?

                  Oh the irony.

It was probably about this time last year that you were questioning the dogs recruitment strategies.

And before you come out with your usual smart arse shite, I aint going searching for it so don't even go there.

You know what you said anyway.

I questioned whether Graham & Tolman would work well together considering they are both very similar players. It was never a criticism of their pack as a whole. I don't see the irony there unless you're referring to something else?

Hasler was smart enough to surround the two workers (Graham & Tolman) with a lot of impact players and ended up with a well balanced forward pack which is the real key. It's not about having 'a lot of polys' or 'a lot of workers'.

I don't even think the likes of Kasiano & Williams are terribly great players but their weaknesses will be hidden by some two of the best middle third players in the comp.

The only irony is you calling me a smart arse, I never criticised their recruitment/retention of Polynesians.

You beat me to it, R6.

I was going to mention the Dogs. Won the minor Prem and made the grand final in no small part due to some 'big Polys' dominating.

He's really strong (strongest on the team?) but never quite developed the skills that I would have liked to see.

                          I'll miss big Mose!!

Mouse is way down the pecking order now and rightly so. Fat, slow with very little lateral movement one good game in 5 odd years with the club speaks volumes. I think the club has lost patience.
