Thanks for the feedback Vasco. Funny to hear the player complaining about being tired from training 9 to 5!

But thanks for the compliment anyway.
From my perspective, being around the group, I got a good vibe about how the players were feeling about the coming season.
I don't recall hearing anything like this in the previous two seasons. Do you?
Most people will tell you that if the playing group are all moving in the one direction then the results will generally follow. As you may well know, this hasn't been the case for some time.
I'm normally a pessimist when it comes to the Chooks. But something about last night gave me a good feeling. Roll your eyes all you like mate.
I may just have found the first inductee into my "ignore" list...Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

A good pre and post match environment is important for the club and esp if they are capturing some history and culture.
It was also great to hear people like Russell Fairfax, Brad Fittler and Craig Fitzgibbon talk about how much the club means to them. This can only inspire young players.
It was interesting to see people from News Ltd there.
A club with no soul eh? Pffffttt.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

Still full of desperates playing the pokies but has had a major facelift.
Was great to see all of the memorabilia of years gone past. Many players actually commented on how it was inspiring to see it.
The person who invited me introduced to a few past and present players including Freddy. Wooden spoon coach or not, he will always be a Roosters legend.
I also had a chat to the Trent Robinson. By coincidence the company I work for is doing some work for him. He comes across as a pretty down to earth sort of guy. Seems very realistic about how things are going.
Apparently the players are "training" up to eight hours per day, which includes weights, ball work, video sessions etc. One of the players made me laugh when he said he was tired after "working from 9 to 5".
One player in particular couldn't hide his joy about the former coach no longer being in charge. I found that quite funny.
It was very interesting to hear the players talk about the positive vibe around the club. In particular, how well received SBW has been among the group. All are very excited about playing alongside him.
JWH is a classic, with plenty of material.
I have good feeling about next season.
But where was my invite???
And where's my PM telling me all the truth, like who has the biggest Wang and who drinks the most???
Seriously dude I'm as disappointed as 13 is about people not cheering loud enough for his liking.
Next time I'm down we gonna christen that mo-fo Bondi style.
The FlogPen .
You know it makes sense.

The club needed modernising badly, it was relic of yesteryear , compared to most of the leagues clubs around today, and the food wasen't even up to hospital standard, I for one would never have bothered to attend there, due to its condition and services available, so hopefully now, as well as on the field, the club side of the business, has picked its game up as well. All these changes can only mean good things for the club as a whole, in the years to come.

Thanks for the post Vasco.
I've definitely noticed a conscious push to install a lot of passion back into the club, hiring a lot of Easts Men & little things like this always go a long way. Unlike Thirteen supporting a club for me is more than just results and I agree there's definitely a good feeling about this season regardless of whether we win the comp or not you can tell there's a lot of love!
