I think it was pretty obvious he was not coming back to the Roosters. It was more between the Cowboys and the Eels.

if we are chasing another prop we should go after Klemmer from the Bulldogs, he is off contract at the end of 2013 and is the current NYC player of the year, he is a bigger version of Evans, more powerful but less agile, would be near on impossible of pry him away from the dogs with their ANZ stadium funded salary cap but it would certainly be a coup if we could manage it.

you pretty much answered your own question. There is no chance of getting Klemmer from the Bulldogs as for all intents and purposes they have no salary cap.

Why the hell would you guys want another prop FFS. We have them growing out of our arseholes. Money would be better spent on a decent half.

A proven player in a key position is all we need.

                  Eg. 1, 7 or 9.

Sure, we have potential in those positions but the reality is we don't have the class required to go far with what we have currently.

the 1 and 9 in our team cld quite possibly be the worst combo in the comp.

Hope friends weight loss sparks him up next yr, not sure if that will help with his natural instinct of taking the 2m blind side though.

Hopefully next season will unearth something great in all those positions.

Kane Evans has something different to most of our props, he has the ability to be great. Plenty of dimension to all aspects of his game and tough.

Kane is a very determined young man who i hope reaches his Mt Everest.

Best of luck in 2013 & beyond.
