Wow jsut watching some highlights of Todd Carney of Youtube and Google videos and i msut say very impressive! His god a good long kicking game, Is always there in support (Like mini), got pretty good speed and sets up trys all over the park!

OPTIONS is the big advantage behind this.
Suddenly we'll have lots of options for 5/8 (better ones than Mini, who can be put back in position.)

How quick we are forgetting the man who basically carried our team in the last 3-4 years.

It's exactly like getting rid of the 3 year old dog to get a new puppy because it looks cuter.

Anasta has done nothing wrong and without him we would be dwindling down the bottom every single year. Been a great clubman as well. Yet some people are quick to write him off to be replaced by a bloke who might not even last half a season and with that bring the club into disrepute.

Agree 100%. He may not have carried us as high as we would have liked but he at least gives a damn. Puts in every week. Plays with injury. I am more than happy to see him move to lock. I would however like to see a hard working second row to support him. Aubo for mine. Not sure on the other.

Tries hard just doesnt have it when its needed.

Maybe at lock as a ballplayer but we will need a very good defensive 2nd rower to cover Bwaiff and Mason. Maybe Maubs could do the job.

"He needs to be surrounded by people who give a shit" concerns me. I know Brian Smith and Steve Noyce will do their best but the majority of our playing roster is young and relatively immature. Likely to only 'give a shit' about themselves.

Maybe mumsy can move to Sydney and take care of her little lad.

He's obviously not a bad bloke when he's off the grog. But you can say that about most people, it doesn't excuse their actions when they go on a bender. He obviously becomes a totally different character when he's had a few which is why he should abstain if not totally then close to it.

If he's given another crack at the NRL, he should be extremely grateful for the opportunity and not piss it up against the wall.

That's exactly what I thought when I read that article. He's picked himself up and re-made himself up north but he's surrounded by a bunch of down to earth country town people. Who's going to play the adult with him in papparazzi-gossip obsessed Sydney? He needs to be kept in a supportive environment with people he trusts who will keep him on the straight and narrow - although that's probably applicable to half the young players in the game today. Hopefully his time away in Atherton will have made him realize what his priorities should be.
