we know what carney can do, but last yr was no where near his best and he may never reach his full potential again. I dont think ryles bit us either and his team won the gf.

There maybe alot of i told u so's next yr, with some of our players, but if we keep some of those same players, then we complain when they play the same style yr in and out. there is nothing as a supporter we can do about it, so no point complaining. linnet had a good yr but did not set the world on fire, winterstein did nothing. a change is what many players need and it may appear that they play better, but i think the team they go to overall makes them look better.

Was in the same Aust Schoolboys side as Pearce. Jennings or no Jennings, the Tigers would be mad to let him go. Mush more likely Ayshford

Centre is a position we've struggled to fill for as long as I can remember
He's had injury problems his whole career

Bj's dumping was not something which was planned. It was a spontaneous event due to the fact that it was clear he no longer had the attitude needed to be at our club.

I don't buy into the whole Jennings thing, or that we got rid of him to fit in SBW. When Bj was re-signed earlier this year, the board would have known that SBW was coming to our club and known the amount needed to get him. They would have factored this into the salary cap for 2013 at the start of this year and made our re-signings fit in with the SBW buy. Bj was seen as a prospect for the long term and was in all of the advertising drives and is still on our website background (right banner). We did not get rid of him for SBW or to sign a rival player from another club. These axings are always the toughest. You know that one day it will bite us on the backside ala Tamou, Carney. But you can't continue to have a decaying attitude at the club which may potentially spread around. It is a shame because I thought we would get the best out of BJ with him playing on the outside of SBW and taking some of his offloads and flick passes, but I guess we will die wondering.

I think if Oldfield is a decent defender we should use him in the centres. He is one figure lower on the price tag and more younger/energetic than Jennings at times. Jennings has been plenty rubbish for the Penrith for most of his career. Last year when he was selected for origin, he was in the NSW cup. He is not a consistent player and not worth the big bucks.
I never referred to it as being a planned incident. The roosters have been going back and forth with Schubert for a while now trying to come up with an acceptable contract to register. All I am saying is that BJs poor attitude was always going to get him sacked. It just happens to be convenient for us and may ave got us over the line with the SBW contract, in relation to extra cash being available.
I never suggested they simply sacked BJ in order to do this.

He is an idiot on the grog far too often.
Ayshford is solid but thats it. Lawrence is a decent centre worth looking at.
All 3 are quality...doesn't mean we should buy any of them (although I'm a sucker for a local junior so Ayshford I would take)...let's be patient for once and work with what we have...long run we're gonna be OK...

            Fark yes to Michael Jennings.

            Made my off season.

BJ will shine under Bennet though. Always got the feeling he'd leave and go onto to better things elsewhere. Had that Terry Hill feeling about him. (Although Terry Hill played well in the one season he had here.)

That's because Bennett will be smart enough to play him in his righful position as an edge second rower. He will be Bennett's new Creagh but with far better offloading ability. Smith killed the kid.

Get Mickey Lane (David Smith) down to training to show them how a top class centre prepares trains & plays.

Exactly. Remember Soliola or whateva his name was. Massive frame, no intensity. That is Moga ATM but hopefully its due to age.

I loved soli mate, I thought he was a bit hard done by he should have been shifted to the forwards instead he was hung out to dry in the backs.

Pretty sure he played his final yr in the back row.Built himself a rep for some big hits too

At present he's far too lazy to be able to last 10 minutes playing as a forward
