  • Mini Our Hero

You ask all the kids that support our great club who there fav player is and most of the time they will say Mini. They didn't get to see what this man did years ago when he was at his best, and although he is at the end of his career and most on here want him gone already i can't help but love this guy as a player, He has achieved alot with us and has been a loyal member of our team.

Is he best option for fullback next year? No, But im going to be cheering him on in his final year with us, Im hoping he lifts for his final year with us and coming off a good 5/8 and SBW may lift his attacking form. We love you mini and I hope everyone here will get behind him and cheer him on till his last game.

Yes cheer him while he loses us games. I'm afraid as fans our expectations have been diminished in a big way since Freddy retired. As far as I'm concerned he should piss off and let someone with talent take the no1 spot, if he loves the club then that's what he should do.

I will admit that prior to joining the forum this year, I had actually enjoyed watching Mini play and would have loved him to play on forever. But this year, the facts you read on the forum, plus the blatant lack of fundamental skills and constant screw ups from mini when watching the game, has me disappointed to say the least. I think that RTS needs to start at fullback if we are a chance next year. He has shown that he can break the line on kick returns and has a ball playing ability which is fundamental for success at fb.
          Comment of the year:

I love Mini (no homo) & all he's done for the club, but the game at NRL level has passed the poor guy by..

We've all seen the future..And his name is Sheck..Roger Tuivasa-Sheck..

I think the count will surprise a few people this year. A bad culture within a club can lead to poor performances and lack of confidence on the field.
I have my fingers crossed that mini will be back to playing somewhere near his best. It is only fitting for him after all the injures, to go out in style.

He was my hero growing up along with Freddy and Fitzy.

It hurts to watch him play so poorly every week. I always held hope he'd come back the same after his back injuries but he never came close.

His experience will be vital for the squad this year, that's about the nicest thing I can say though...

Far out is he that bad? I know he's past his best but to me he still offers alot.

Can't believe some of the crap I read here sometimes.

Yes I used to love watching mini play aswell . But if I have to watch his last line defence, when he jumps in the air trying to tackle much longer, I will purchase a sniper rifle myself and take him out!!

I don't think easts fans could ever knock or not support Mini...he is the last bastion of our club greats still playing...got to make the most of it while it lasts. He's not what he was...but can still do some great stuff

i loved that one on one strip this year. i cant remember if it was tigas or dullbogs. but a big boppa was ready to bend over and put the ball down to score and mini the falsh stole it from his hands. it was that quick the commentators all said it was a easy try. then wheres mini, being tackled up on the 10m line.

Mini will be a liability in 2013. All the opposition have to do is put the ball on the ground and it's a better than 50/50 they'll get it back. He point blank refused to put his body on the line in 2012, he played cautious and you can't do that at NRL level and be effective, especially in the number 1. Mini will have to improve 300% to be as effective as the current number ones and I simply can't see him doing it.

                            Chook.

Waiting for Mini to come good again is like hoping a blind man will regain his sight. His problems are not form related but a lack of physical ability. If he is going to play fullback or even first grade for the whole of next season then the club will be putting sentiment ahead of success.
