dont know if anyone has picked up on this yet, but there was an article released an hour ago, updating the situation. basically it says jennings hasnt been released from the panthers yet, he wont be if hes has to take a paycut at another club, and that the roosters dont even have enough cap space anyway . . . yet.
http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=8589874
on the other hand, it also says that jennings could be here by the end of the week

I played with & against him through 50uFF$ juniors & he was head & shoulders above most other kids..The Zetland side he played in had Tricky Trindall,Jim Dymock,Jim Sedaris,Craig Field & Nick Zizti in it,so to stand out amongst them meant you had to be good..
But he always hated us..His old man was a lol@50uFF$ tragic,& Tethzza was bought up being told to hate us..
The draft got him here, but he fought it as he wanted to play under Warren Ryan at Wests..
None of us had ever played union before but we also won the Buckland Shield, beating Randwick High 22 nil in the final. As I said, that year we just had a great footy team. The boys from the country. (Near Nowra)

Were you in our year or below?

The more I think about it the more I think 500k actually is actually quite a fair price.
A 350k contract in 2012 was 8.3% of the $4.2m salary cap
A 500k contract in 2013 is 8.6% of the 5.8m salary cap
We're not doing too badly if we can pick him up for somewhere around that.

Us boys from the country beat Cleveland st high in the final. I remember we had a great side all thru high school. Our big winger, Allen Jarrett scored in the corner in the last minute and broke the touchies leg. We won by a point. Think it was '81. Anyone on here play that match? It would be amazing to reminisce . I remember looking at the opposition across the field before the first whistle and they all had beards and mo's.

I think I'm a touch older mate. Our team also made the semis of the Uni shield. I am sure we were up against St Gregorys. I think it was the Uni. We used to enter in that and the other comp of that age but I can't remember what it was called. Maybe it was the other one.
What Eva it was we were murdered by a little half back called Ivan Henjack. Dam he was quick. I'm 46.
You are right. It's great when the little guys do well for a change.
Update. Came to me in my sleep. It was the Commonwealth Bank Cup back then.Last edited by John Corey; 01-08-2013, 10:05 AM.Embrace the Hate! JC
