  • Titans Crash the Jennings party

Word out is that the Titans are now chasing Jennings.

After offloading Price and Champion they now have enough cash to make a real play for him! Prince would have been on a large packet so I think the Titans may have a fair amount of $$$ to play with. Hopefully the desire for Jennings to stay in Sydney will be enough to make him sign with us.

I want to know how Souffs can fit all of these players in.

Titans released Prince because they couldn't afford to fit his contract under the cap anymore and are still paying a large amount of it whilst he's at the Broncos.

The Titans have enough money because like every NRL club they're about to see a rasie of 800k in the salary cap for 2013.

I've said this before in an unrelated post on this forum, the titans this season writing cheques with their mouths that their backsides can't cash in.

Something is not right with that club and it wouldn't suprise me in the slightest if they are finished as a club before Jennings's contract expires.
        Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

tittens will suffer this year. they lost the indiginous game to the sandcrap up the road, they are going to darwin and i think they have sold another game as well.

          tits for the spoon.
the locals dont care to much for the titts as their pitterfull efforfts with the development of the junior league on the coast is total shyt. favouring only one or two teams out of 10 is crap.

bums on seats wont happen at skilled this year because the roosters arent coming to town.

I think the Titans are signing players on IOU's. I wonder if they count on the cap?

Don't know anything about their junior development, but after spending it week there last year, the Titans to AFL gear wearing ratio was at least 20:1 by the locals. Think I saw 2 AFL items, one of which was a ball that was being used to play a game of touch league.

If they can get it right, the Goldie will always be an out and out league town.

the only franchise that will survive on the gold coast is the suns.
gold coast united have already come and gone, and the titans arent far off it.
people go there, or live there, to holiday. most people couldnt give two $#!ts about a sporting team.
the only reason why the suns will survive is because theyre securely backed financially by the AFL.
the titans and GCU didnt have that financial backing.

you will see alot more suns shyt around the coast . 12 thou a game on average last year compared to 8 thou at shilled.
it costs about a $100 for a family of 4 to get into skilled while its about $70 to the merticon suns stadium.

I wouldn't worry about the Coast, Jennings manager is the master poker face, when Souths pulled out last week sometime after agreeing to sign Champion and this would of happened a week ago, Jennings manager needed another decoy bidder, so who else would be better to rely on , yes, no other than the club that just release a centre, the Titans. I believe we are very close to agreeing on a number but needed a little more encouragement, so his manager approaches Titans to throw in a bid knowing they have no chance but with his true motive of forcing our hand to pay that little bit more to clinch the deal with Penrith. He has great form, Blair with Tigers and Parra, Folau with Parra and union, Sandow with Souths and Parra, he played these games with each signing.

All too true TDK, I hope we pull out & let the Tits have him (Idris's move there was such a great career move for him), I wish the greedy bastard all the money he & his agent can squeeze out of whoever he signs with!! If he was willing to take a pay cut (down to what he's worth, say $450 - 500k p.a.) to come to Bondi, where he would more than likely play Finals & SOO footy, I would welcome him with open arms, but when he is happy for his agent to play one club off against the other, he deserves whoever is stupid enough to sign him!!

What rot. You reckon 99% of managers aren't out to get the best deal for their clients and themselves that they can? That's how it works in professional sport. The guy is an out and out match winner, and would be the best centre we've had in decades.

                            They need to get him

I know that's how the agents work, I also know we don't have to play their games, as it only benefits them & their clients, not us!! If you really think a centre that we have to pay $600 - 700k a season to, with a history of boozing & attitude issues is going to be a match winner for us, then you're stupider than I thought.
