  • Denan Kemp released.

If we want speed out wide we must make a play for this bloke.

He has tons of talent yet never looked comfortable with the Warriors. His problem was that he had pretty shithouse centres playing beside him all year and when he got trialled at fullback ... well ... he ain't no fullback.

He is young, fast and looking for stability.

He is a good player, great finisher.. if we want speed, he is the way to go

but then out centres are pretty shitty and i'm not sure our style of play would suit him

      he needs good early ball

He is, as backwards likes to call them, wancos bound I believe.
The man is quick but he couldn't hold his spot at the worriers who aren't that great a team so this makes me think he isn't that great.

Yeah but that was due to the inept performances by his centres - Ropati and Moon, you could tell he tried his heart out but was well down on form.

Any other team he would have regained his spot, however, the Warriors are never going to drop Vatuvei and Locke was just knocking really loud on the door and since hasn't put a foot wrong.

Then again, Ivan Cleary doesn't strike me as a great coach.

They were easily, on paper, a top 4 squad. With Price as captain, complacency was not going to be an issue.
They had depth in the halves coming out of their a**holes yet they sold all off for the return of messiah Stacey and shit went downhill fast. Their halves
are by far, the worst in the NRL.

Do you guys honestly think our centres will get him any ball?

Jones is good at giving SKD quality ball admittedly, but on the other side of the field, Mitch Aubusson isn't exactly a great ballplayer.

Soliola back in 2005/2006 was great at supplying quality ball for his outside man, namely Roberts (until Stuart decided to mess with that combination and toss Vince Mellars outside him). But ever since, he seemed to have completely lost his ability to draw and pass, and became a relatively ineffective battering ram.

Williamson is also tremendously talented as a power centre, but I have my doubts on his passing game. Someone in the NRL like Esileki Tonga, or from the NYC like Sam Joe or Dylan Farrell, specialize at using their size and strength to draw defenders, and then passing either before or in the line to their unmarked outside man to set up magnificent tries.

We need that combination - a powerhouse offloading centre who can draw use size to create holes for a smaller outside man, and a speedy strike centre partnering SKD to give him room to do all he can do.

Mack, I have a sneaking suspicion that Braith will play a bit of centre with Maubs at lock.

Yes...I was thinking that, but I figured that maybe the suggestion would be considered no good.

I can see the logic and value in the Maubs/Bwaif switch. Little concerned about the speedy men getting on the o/s of Bwaif, but that revolves around limiting their space and time.

partnering SKD to give him room to do all he can do.
I presume you mean run hard and use that big fend, as I'm not seeing many other attributes atm.

Braith defends a lot on the left and attacks mostly on the left as well.
Whereas Carney's favourite side to attack is on the right.
                          A perfect fit.
