8. Cayless - JWH - this is JWHs year. dont forget cayless was a mid-20s reject when he came to us. JWH is a young dynamo just about to hit his straps
9. bonnetti - friend - similar frames and styles but I think friend has the edge as much as a few on here dislike him
10. Cusack - Kennedy - hard to split - similar sorts of players, on potential kennedy I think can be better than cusack
11. Fletcher - Guerra - very similar styles and developmental paths (late bloomers). hard to split
12. Fitzy - SBW - different players but Ive never seen a player as good as SBW nor will we ever again imo - an absolute freak
13. Ricketson - Cordner - on potential, Cordner imo will be better than Ricko
14. Flannery - Aubusson - very similar playing styles and ability - hard to split but I dont think flannery ever had a year as good as aubusson did in 2010 and aubusson is only 25
15. Morely - we have no one that good but Evans/tasi are still young and could be anything.
The rest of the 2002-2004 teams were filled with guys like a young tupou (no better than FPN), catic, robinson - I think we have them covered. So while we might not quite be there now, we certainly arent far off. Who knows how much the likes of cordner, friend, JWH, kennedy will improve this year - they could all really hit their straps and if what they have shown to date/their potential is anything to go off, they would certainly match it with the aforementioned side

morley vs jwh - morley wins but jwh has potential to be the next morley
wing vs friend - wing has this hands down
cayless vs kennedy - kennedy has the potenital to be a country mile better, but he was soft last year recovering from a foot injury
fletcher vs guerra - again, fletch wins simply because guerra still has to prove himself
fitzgibbon vs cordner - similar players, but fitz was a legend
ricketson vs sbw - lets wait and see hey?

Originally posted by roz View Postfair enough but to say that guerra, cordner, JWH, kennedy and friend couldnt all by the end of the season/their careers be in the same esteem as those other guys, you would be kidding yourself. they all have the natural ability (thats why they all debuted in first grade in their teens and made all the junior rep teams you can name). They have also since shown ability in the top grade and are all early 20s. At the same time in their careers, I dare say the players of 04 were definitely not better.
all im saying is that currently, the 04 forward pack is better than our forward pack now, but thats a given

I definitely think our pack is good enough to do that as is and some especially with Robinson at the helm

I honestly can't believe some of you dicks, searching for some sort of forum glory because your source told you at 7:30am on the morning of January whatever the ****.
Pull your farrken heads in for a second and read some of your childish dribble. Fair dinkum.
Sad ****s.
