  • I can't recall being this excited about a new season..

    1. A new coach
    2. A genuine leadership group with a new captain and four vice captains
    3. No Brian Smith
    4. No Braith Anasta
    5. RTS coming to life
    6. James Maloney
    7. Sonny Bill Williams
    8. Jennings
    9. I expect Pearce to shine next to a halves partner who will actually do his half of the work
    10. Oh.. and Ted Helliar. I know I keep going on about him, but he actually is the Rooster's best recent signing.
    Hell keen!

We might not win the comp but we have a team that should provided plenty of joy to all of us. The difference between following a shit team and and a good team are worlds apart. I absolutely can not wait for this season.

I don't expect us to win the comp, but seriously - if we don't make the eight this year, something is very, very wrong. The only weak link we seem to have is Friend, but hopefully he becomes motivated by being officially labeled as part of the 'leadership' group.

                    Interesting line up Chris:

                    1. Robinson
                    2. Five left wingers
                    3. No left centre
                    4. No right centre
                    5. RTS (champion in the making)
                    6. Maloney - well done
                    7. SBW at half - possibly if Pearce goes to hooker
                    8. Jennings - interesting selection there
                    9. Pearce - OK see 7.
                    10. Yeah why not.
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

I agree Chris. The funny thing about Friend is he has gone from Chookpen favourite in 2011 to one of the least admired in 2012. Hopefully he can really step it up. It is just so exciting to have a competitive team. The last two years have been pretty miserable.

When we are scoring 30 points almost every week Everyone will be in love with Jake Friend and his 50 tackles per match
