Yes mate. I think that is part of the reason why he is going around again his salary counts for almost nothing.

Next year though I think you will find players like SKD, Maubs and Pearce would be up to 8 years service themselves.

Anyway Mini will play this season I just hope he doesn't hold out some of our young talent.

I think he needs to come out talking beyond this season. As captain it sounds better to talk long term.

I sort of agree with the guys saying that Sheck might not be ready for a full season at fullback, and then I think back to Mini's spider monkey tackle on Dugan...him watching the ball go for a 40/20 while he ran alongside it.....his constant knock ons when running onto that short ball....his woeful goal line defence...and I think 'If Sheck's good enough, he's old enough, stick him in for the season'

Club legend or not, I'd be hard pushed to name many clubs who I WOULDN'T swap fullbacks with if Mini's there this season.

Barba, Hoffman, Bowen, Hayne, Gidley, Inglis, Stewart, Gardner, Slater, Locke, Dugan. All better. Maybe even that young kid at Wests. That leaves the Dragons and the Panthers, and if Coote plays there, add him to the list.

OK, He's still brilliant under the high ball, in fact he's about the best. But that's only a very small part of being a modern full back.

Anyway, hopefully my theory is correct, he's captain as long as he's happy on the wing.

Is RTS up to the fullbacks NRL positional and defencive play, I have yet to see and with Jennings, SKD and Maloney if front of him a big ? for me. Mini experience at the back will be undenielable, but its looking like we are going to have to score lots of points to win games. Its a great looking back 7 on paper but is there any balance?
