Big fan of discipline, I think fitness is the best form of discipline aswell... Once this two come defence n attack will come with structure

One area of improvement needs to be our offloads in our front rowers. The effect of second phase play is immense in setting up some attacking plays and creating space.

I remember even last year where we had a terrible attacking spine, especially at 6 and 1, after we got a few offloads going we got some good momentum and played some good footy in patches.
            Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

I don't know about offloads per say, but definitely a bit of ball playing at the line by our props ala the dogs proved very effective. Offloads will come the more we roll the defence first, rather than using offloads to try and create space. The space needs to be created first.

The biggest thing I'll be looking for is an improvement in discipline.
I think we definitely have the talent to score enough points to win most matches and I think discipline and defense go hand in hand. Every team is going to concede points but the 1 thing that annoys me more than anything else is stupid, brainless penalties (which we seem to be so good at giving away recently)!!! Hopefully the new coach will be able to address this problem

The ability to beat the crap teams instead of touching up the occassional top 4 side and then get beaten by teams coming 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th, very inconsistent mental attitude

                          1. Least metres gained @ 1245/pg. No forward averaged 100 metres per game (only team in the comp to do so).
2.Worst handling of any team, coughed up the ball 11.2 times per game.
                          3. We let in more points then every team except for Parraspoonatta

Defense is a commitment to the set strategies, discipline is takes maturity and acceptance.

with the shoulder charge now dropped from the game the forwards i predict will be perfecting the barge. the barge is allowed because it is not classed as a shoulder charge. the shoulder charge was dropped to help protect the ball reciever from being hit when the player is not watching the defence but the ball, protecting the player from head to shoulder clashes, and concussion.

the barge is ok because the player with the ball has the ball under the arm of impact, and that cusions the impact. i can see the forwards picking out an opposition player and barging at them with all theyve got, to dominate the tackle and to be able too off load for the second phase.

the shoulder charge will be disguised as a barge
