  • Backup Goal Kicker

Maloney will be our first choice goal kicker. BJ was our second choice kicker? Who do you think will take over as the backup goal kicker?
    Any ideas.

I think morts kicked a few last year. Cordner has the boot to do it as well with practice. People are making a bigger deal out of this than what it is.

Least of our problems tbh. I am more worried about us scoring trys with a successful attacking structure. I hope that robbo doesn't adopt the "play what's in front of you" ploy from Brian "smithy" Smith. That got us no where, very slowly last year.
        Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

            I reckon it's a good question.

With the competition being so tight goal kicking is very important.

Didn't know that Cordner can kick. If he follows in CF foot steps the Chooks are lucky with this guy.

Cordner has done those restarts from the halfway line and gets them well into the in goal, so I say he'd b worth a go.

I hope Morts is good with distance cause Henson park is far way.
This is an issue with so many close games.
I could be wrong but I think Jennings has kicked in the past.

Great Q mate. I was thinking the same myself. I notice a couple reckon its no big deal. I reckon it is a huge deal as there is no standout. Say what we want about braith, bit he was a decent backup for fitzy. Turning 4 into 6 consistently, can be the difference between winning and losing.

I have never seen SKD or the others mentioned on here kick (besides morts who will be lucky to play FG anyway) so havent got a clue who would be the option.

well then lets hope maloney doesnt get injured. even then, im sure skd wouldnt be bad with the boot (he has kicked goals in previous seasons) and who do you think would replace maloney if he were to get injured? mortimer.
