There was a small write up in the Courier Mail today, stating that a Sydney club have been asked to produce records and computer to investigate a possible salary cap breach. They say it is not of Storm preportions, but is worth checking the books.

Every year they name about 4 or 5 teams that breach the cap (more technical than trying to deceive) and get fines.
I think Saints have been named the last few years, but with their current roster can't see it being them. Have to be the Dogs, with the names on their roster.Embrace the Hate! JC

An example for you....the Raiders signed a young schoolboy from Wagga last year to play SG Ball this season. As part of his deal they paid an amount of $2k towards his school fees. Ian Schubert decided this should be included in their NYC Salary Cap despite the fact there is little chance of him playing NYC this season. So in your example, if the Raiders exceeded the NYC cap by $2k, you would want all their points stripped and the team basically booted from the competition. There is mistakes (such as this) and there is deception (Storm/Bulldogs). They are completely different and thankfully are treated that way.

Some clubs are paying players at other clubs so how it all works God knows. So you just have to have faith in the NRL & trust in the system.
