    Dribble Dribble Dribble!!!! Rooster6, is your glass always half empty?
    Plenty to be excited about.

    Kennedy, Evans, RTS & Cordner all due for massive seasons in their respective careers and all imo the in a group of the best youngsters going around. Throw Moga in there too if he continues to make a quicker than thought recovery.

    Pearce will finally get a season under a coach who will play to his strengths.

    3 potential sell out Home Games.

    I'm loving 2013 already, a different opinion on here at the moment seems to be criminal though.

      I can tell you all now that Carney, Maloney and Pearce will not play Origin this year...

      Lauire Daley could be the worst choice of a Coach NSW has selected over the years as he was the selector who constantly picked the same useless twots for the first 6 QLD Straight Origin Victory Series.

      Bird and Wallace will be the halves this year...

        A different opinion has always been criminal on here lol. But this place would be boring if everyone had the same way of thinking.
        I'm a 'Maloney chronie' but that doesn't mean everyone has to be. Speak your mind R6, love your work

          R6, we could afford one of the best (and relatively young) centres in the game. That's never a pointless signing, especially for a team that's always had a pretty weak backline...

            Nathan, thank god you are not a NSW selector, Bird will probably be in the 17, but not for use as a 5/8, and wallace will be lucky to hold his position at the Bronco's, an average halfback at best.

                I believe in Pearce.

                He's a great player, IMO, and has been a stand-out in pretty much every Easts side he's played in (which I'm sure we all agree isn't much to write home about considering the abominable squads we've had - excluding '10).

                In Origin he's been unfairly lambasted. He's always been one of the better players in a losing side for NSW, and injuries permitting is a lay-down for Origin this year.

                2013 will be the year Pearce shuts his detractors up.

                  By the way, more players profile photos have been uploaded on the roosters website, and they all seem to be wearing the same jersey which apparently everyone is saying is from last year.

                  I was going to post this in the other thread but for some reason it has been closed.
                  Comment of the year:

                  Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

                  "It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

                    Hey they were the same players he was picking for all those years as Pearce was in form in 2008 and yet they left it to game 3 before picking him which was a joke.

                    Daley never picked players on form, it was always who performed in the past...

                      Maloney in my opinion was a rushed signing, the club made a decision to release Todd Carney and decided that Anasta's days in the halves were behind him thus went out and signed the first half that was on the open market. I hate to harp on about it but we lack creativity and Maloney isn't the solution to that. Personally I would have much rather signed a promising youngster, monitored his development whilst always keeping one eye on the market looking for the right option if it became available.

                      Jennings is overkill, I think it's inevitable now that Moga will leave the club once his contract expires and I think it's a massive lack of faith in what the club has been doing so well in recent years - bringing through promising youngsters. 1m on a centre pairing is ridiculous imo.

                      SBW is a good signing so long as we're dealing with him on a year to year basis as there's so many unknown quantities about his return. He gives us cap flexibility, great marketability & isn't holding back any outstanding youngsters.

                      In my opinion the two types of players we needed to pick up were a creative playmaker & a middle third worker. This hasn't changed since 2010, difference was in 2010 we picked up Todd Carney & Jason Ryles. This isn't about me being cynical because in 2010 I was absolutely stoked with those signings I just don't think we've taken the right path.

                      Can you honestly say that at the start of the season you were hoping for;

                      A 500k centre on a 4 year contract (whilst Moga is still at the club) and;
                      A orgnaising/supporting 5/8.

                      I feel for Robinson because he's had little say in this years recruitment and rather than judging our squad on WHAT we've signed people are more worried about WHO we've signed. Names wont get us into the top 8.
                      given that it's Jennings, "yes"

                      and "absolutely" to the 5/8

                      we certainly couldn't tolerate your man Braith for any longer

                        Who in their right mind thinks Maloney is an organising play maker? He is a ball runner. Not a play maker. He is exactly what we need running off SBW's shoulder, with Mini or RTS trailing off of him.

                        There will be line breaks aplenty in 2013. Something that we got basically none of from our halves in 2011-2012.

                            Maloney is a great signing. He is more than just a hole runner & support player, he also brings a very good short kicking game (which we have sorely lacked) and knows when to give his outside men early ball (which our previous 5/8 did not). I'm very excited about what Maloney will bring to our team.

                            If I had $1 for every time a player in our bacline was called "slow" on this site, I would have retired by now. Jennings has what you can't teach ... raw speed, and planty of it. His defence is not as bad as some here are saying. If you saw him in Origin last year you would know he can tackle, and made a number of crucial reads as to when to rush up and shut down a play. With good ball from our halves, both Jennings & SKD will have a ball this year.

                            If we don't make the 8 with this team, this year, I'll eat Lemon Goats socks.
