My wife and 15 year old son were putting my nephew on a flight to Brisbane last night.

As they were turning to leave SBW was headed toward the gate.

My wife told him our family are Easts tragics and asked him if she could take a picture of him with my son.

SBW happily obliged and the encounter made my young bloke's day.

As SBW handed in his boarding pass to the girls at the gate, who had seen my wife ask for his photo, they asked him who he was.

His reply?

I'm a Roosters footballer.

Saw Botha on tv the other night.
O oh, he's huuuge!
Hope he doesn't beat Sonny Bill to a pulp and kill him...or cripple him.
It's happened before, boxers carted out of the ring basically deceased.
Botha has fought all the major heavyweights...Sonny Bill had a trainer only for his last fight...he's basically a rookie...up against the marauding 'monster'.

It looks like a horrible mismatch to me!

Botha is certainly one hard man. I'm not sure whether SBW has the amunition to stop Botha, and if the fight goes for any length of time the chances of Botha tagging him with a big shot a pretty high. SBW has never fought for longer than 6 rounds, and I don't think he's fought anybody with the weight of punch that Botha will bring.

I don't really care who wins the fight, but I am concerned about the loss of mystique for SBW amongst our young squad if he gets crushed. He's viewed as a demi-god by many, and that can only have a very postive influence on our young guys, but he will not hold that up for long if he turns up for training looking like he's ben hit by a truck.

For that reason I voted "yes".
