    Hi Yak,

The comparison is valid but as I realise in this thread there are rules for some players but not others. It does not take much to rile people up over Mitchell Pearce or Jake Friend but the excuses are rattled off one by one for TauTau Moga who as yet has proven nothing.

    Same to you again.

There's only so much he can learn in the lower grades, unfortunately our reserve grade competition is pretty woeful. What he faces there would be nothing like the attacking structures he'd come up against in First Grade. Exposure to first grade is crucial to the development of our young players, has nothing to do with welfare.

He virtually skipped reserve grade and went straight to firsts because we were desperate. It shows.

The only thing he will learn at Newtown is that it's the only venue in Sydney that sells KB.

I'll wait till he has actually shown us something on the field before I worry about whether or not he will or wont stay at our club thanks.

There are plenty of players who look like world beaters in the age restricted comps that do not step it up into first grade. Lets make sure he's not one of them before we throw big cash at him.

I think the essence of the point trying to be made is simple - in terms of raw talent and natural ability, there are none better than moga (same goes for williamson). What defines whether a young dynamo (like those 2) develop into first graders and go on to fulfill their potential hinges on their attitude and aptitude to life as a professional athlete. Williamson wasnt cut out for it and preferred to go home and take up a local job as a tradie instead. It remains to be seen whether moga has this but considering he is only 18, some of the comments suggesting that he is a flop or we shouldnt waste our time with him or cut him loose are ridiculous. Id like to see us sign him up nice and early into the season before he gives other clubs the opportunity to see what he has got at the top level. For a player at his age, imo he still has another 4 odd years in him until we can definitively say he will/has made it or not. Up until that point he will have injuries, ups and downs and question why he is doing it. If he can stick it out and stay committed, I (among others) have no doubt he will make it and probably be a folau or inglis calibre footballer. Whether he has the requisite mental state to make that come to fruition remains to be seen. That in itself does not detract from him as a footballer or talent.

Look at it like this - you are coming up to final exams and know your stuff/have done well all year. Your teacher and you personally know you have the ability as you have been top of the class the whole way through. The fact that you go on to breakdown in the final exam and not fulfill your potential does not mean your teacher or you were misguided in studying in the lead up but merely means that you may not have the personality or characteristics that make-up a footballer beyond ability. This is what we have with Moga. Either we keep investing in him and giving him every opportunity to succeed and fulfil his obvious potential (like a good teacher), or remain negative and not afford him that because of all those who have gone before him and not succeeded.

Exactly, the comparisons between Moga and Williamson are way off. With Williamson all we saw was a tape from Sg Ball, he didn't make an impact in the NYC. Moga has dominated the SG Ball and NYC, played very well at Newtown and showed some flashes of brilliance in first grade. He has done this at the age of 18.

The kid is pure class if we are stupid enough to let him go there will be 15 clubs after him.

Ryan was more interested in his Home and Away girlfriend and had a poor work ethic. His favourite position was hands on hips..

I shall summarise what will happen.

Having three top class centres will be a bonus for our club as it is likely at least one of the three will be out through injury (just as Moga is now). But in the next few years as some of our younger players warrant more money I think you will see that the club will choose between either SKD or Moga. Only their performances can tell who will be the centre partner to MJ. Both players did nothing last season so both have a lot to prove.

If all three are fit then Moga will play on the wing for several years.

We can look into this issue as much as we want but fact is we have a wealth of talent at centre and in our backs. And in saying that I think we can only become more potent as our young backs age and mature.

It's to early to know whether Moga will become a very good NRL player.

I still think Chase Blair will develop into a regular first grader same with Rona. BJ may very well turn it on week after week up at the Knights as well but who really knows?

I actually rate BJ but I cant decide on Moga. For me good up & coming players standout even in losing teams like the Roosters last year, I saw it in RTS but I didn't see it in Moga.

Comparing Moga to GI is embarrassing, comparing him to Folau is laughable. Those 2 guys were blessed to come under the watchful eye of POS & Craig Bellamy.

Cheyse Blair is a regular first grader, albeit for the wooden spooners, but a regular nonetheless.

Which brings me to my next point... Cheyse Blair is soft and farrken useless.
