Well played Ferdie, you will not be forgotten, a true Easts man.

Thoughts are with the family and friends.

Loved watching him and Moose on the Sunday mornings when I was a kid.

      RIP.

I wish I had one of those Save Ferris t-shirts.

He was the guest MC at the Paladium event in 07 at The Titts old Carrara Stadium. Great buzz to meet him personally.

The Anzac Day ideas sound great.

          I like Headless Chook's idea....Lest We Forget.
Can't see how anyone could complain since he was a serviceman.
          Memories.........Vale Ferris.

Brings a tear to the eye.

            Rest easy old mate....
This is before the days when footballers used to play for the money. The money was crap, and even up until the late 80s, most footy players had to have an actual job apart from footy to survive. These days you feel like the game is a business. Few players remain who are similar to Ferris Ashton. Fitzy, Hindmarsh are a good example. Anasta, SBW are Antonyms of what Ferris was.

I loved this gentleman so much. He picked me out of the crowd on Anzac Day in 2010 as I was right down the front, being a lone Rooster amongst a sea of Dragons fans. He told me I was a brave young lady for sitting amongst them..RIP Mr Ashton. They don't make gentlemen like you anymore.

                    Vale, Ferris.
I recall returning from a Wallabies match on the train from Homebush. He was sitting opposite with his wife. They were both very much in love. A true gentleman and an entertainer.
If we could all represent the club as Ferris did. In his own way and always serving the club with passion and his warm heart.
                    You will be sadly missed.
