Sydney Roosters release Brad Takairangi

The Sydney Roosters have today announced that Brad Takairangi has been granted an early release from his contract to join the Gold Coast Titans on a three-year deal.

Sydney Roosters COO Football, Brian Canavan, said: “Brad possesses some great talent however with the Titans offering him a longer-term contract, we didn’t want to stand in his way.

“We thank Brad for his contribution to our club and wish him and his young family all the very best for the future.”

Takairangi will join the Titans effective immediately.

I'd say the club would have told Taka to look around as he would have been off loaded if they could have secured O'Donnell.

If we get O'Donnell or not I'm not really fussed either way. I just would of released a few before Taka, I think the kid has some talent.

I would of let go Arona, Bosden or Symonds before him.
