There is no argument whether to keep him or not. He is gone and that's it.
But many feel he still had another year or two to offer while we find another in his mould. The statement Noyce made about Mini and how he has served his time yada yada yada. Why didn't they use the same commitment with Fitzy? He has given his all on the field and I can't recall any problems off the field (unlike Mini). He is a true leader and he would have taken little out of our cap yet we kindly tell him to piss off. Just some double standards IMO.

Anyway, I believe Jaubs is the one who needs to lift his game and can be that tackling machine we need. If not, then I really see no use for him as Friend has that number 9 wrapped up.

I feel that Stanley Waqa, Sonny Tuigamala, Daniel Conn and Nick Kouparitsas are simply reserve grade standard players, they aren't up to consistent NRL on a week to week basis (though I would love for Conn to prove me wrong and be an outstanding bargain barrel backrower in the way David Stagg, Michael Luck, Matt Hilder and Nathan Smith have been for their respective clubs - pulled out of reserve grade and transformed into defensive stalwarts).

Kane Linnett, if we really have signed him, is still untested and could be a risk in the centres (in which case we will probably end up playing Jones there), whilst players like Ryan Williamson, the Cordner brothers, Joseph Leilua, Cheyse Blair and Ethan Lowe are still very young and can't be rushed into first grade too quickly.

Does anyone know if Rohan Ahern or Dylan Sharp are staying? Both of these blokes aren't flash obviously, but they are hard-working toilers who make plenty of tackles - they might be just what we need.

I'd much prefer Ryan Williamson in the centres before Kane Linnett. Linnett might be having a much better season in NYC than Williamson has had this year, but I have no doubt that Williamson will kick on this year after a full season of training with NRL squad, much in the way Jones has this year but Williamson will be more dominant.

I don't think any of the Cordner brothers should see NRL next season. Both are relatively young and play in the forwards and are still developing their game. Only young freaks such as Russell Packer, Johnny Mannah, Ben Matulino, Kevin Proctor, Jared Wearea-Hargreaves etc. can play and match it in the forwards at NRL level. Boyd Cordner will play in 2011 and hopefully Dane will be up to it as well. Ethan Lowe I am not convinced about. He is a good young player and a work horse but his attacking prowess is limited. Joseph Leilua will play NRL if not next year, the following season. A very good buy from the Dragons and I expect will dominate NYC next season.

Mack I've been told Dane Cordner has been dropped from our NYC team due to poor form. I guess that explains why he hasn't been named this week, although he might get a run with injury concerns to Dylan Sharp.

The problem with Dane is that he is sometimes over-aggressive, loses his cool, and probably doesn't give as much workrate as his brother.

Dane is only making 8 runs for 55 metres a game, and about 20 tackles a game too, but the thing is he is aggressive in everything he does.

He offers more mongrel then some of our powderpuffs now.
