BREAKING: @sydneyroosters forward Anthony Cherrington - who could be anything if he gets on the paddock, talking to Dogs, Souths and Penrith

Would make many on here happy to see the back of him. But I would feel empty not knowing what he could have done. I hope we are not shedding these guys for LOD...

Good bye injury prone no use in paying someone to sit on bench with in injuries

        He was never here

LOD didn't play for Huddesfield this morning, pretty obvious its a done deal with us.

don't see the logic in letting Cherro go now, we have waited so long to get his body right, at least give the kid a chance to compete when healthy, if it doesn't work out then, no problems letting him go.

Can you guys imagine if he goes to one of these two and ends up being the next SBW. Lots of sleep deprivation for all of us chooks fans over the next few years if that ended up being the case.

He could be anything if he gets on the paddock, but he could also be nothing if he gets injured again. He has had three knee reco's I think in the last three years. It's hard enough coming back from one let alone three in a row.
            Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

Would be absolutely pointless to lose him now imo. We don't have any other player's like him in our backrow stocks. Aubusson, Symonds and Guerra are all very similar. Exclusively edge playing line runners who don't have much of an offload. Cherro can play wide and up the middle and is a natural offloader. And at full tilt he's still as quick as any of those guys. If he clicks this year he could be the solution to life after SBW, we don't have anyone else in that mould imo. I do not imagine he is taking up any sort of considerable money in our salary cap, probably around 1% of our cap. I just don't see why he would be the bloke you would trim when he's finally injury free and has such a unique skill set within this squad.

I agree completely Yak, it just means we have wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars without any return, keeping him for 2013 wouldn't have killed us.

there are bigger things at play here though, Robbo is trying to put his stamp on the squad and is trying to free up some cap room for 2014 to get a better balance in the squad, wouldn't at all surprise if this is Mini's/FPN/Maubs last season at the club.

could just see Des licking his lips and the prospect of having T-Rex/Pritchard starting with Cherro on the interchange bench, would be a constant supply of offloads for Barba/Ennis to work with.

Cherrington to Bulldogs, Rabbits or Panthers...

Word on the street is that Cherrington is shopping around with the Bulldogs, Rabbits and Panthers.

Personally I dont think the signing of O'Donnell and the release of our younger players is a good option. But saying that I doubt Cherrington would make our team unless we had a run of injuries. It is also likely he will get injured early in the season again (or before the season starts).

Exactly. LOD left the NRL as he was sick of being a marked man by the Refs What will have changed when he comes back?

To lose Taka and Cherro for an ageing backrower with shoulder problems...dumb dumb dumb.

                              Chook.
