Of all the clubs he could go to, this one I don't mind. We've taken a couple of gems off of them, so good luck to him if he heads that way.
Bring on Luke O'Donnell! One of my favourites and still can't believe that he'll represent us. Hope he hasn't forgotten his old mate Third-man Thaiday. There are so many games to look forward to this year and being a resident of the west, it's convinced me to sign up to Fox Sports. I'll be able to tape all of the games that I'm away at work for, so I shouldn't miss a single minute this year.

correct weight. Even if he comes good at penrith, its not like we havent got someone (say Michael Jennings) to neutralise his impact

Plus, they always beat us twice a year in any event.

FPN is one of the more talented players we have?

            Nonsense

            The guy offers precious little

IMO you have to have 3 hardnuts playing in your 17 to win the comp.

We have JWH & hopefully SBW, so signing LOD certainly brings that 3rd hardnut into the frame.
If we end up with those 3 I expect at least 1 of them to serve a suspension during the season for foul play, the Roosters have got to start to play aggressive & dirty, hopefully it shows in there defence.

There have been some good points made from both sides of the argument on Cherrington. It's a hard one I would like to see him stay mainly because he is a junior same with Symonds. I would probably look at letting Bosden & Arona go personally.
I tell you what though if we have JWH Friend Kennedy Cordner LOD SBW Aubusson Guerra FPN Tasi Evans Symonds & Moa all playing for 1st grade spots the side has no excuses if they are not a top 4 side. And 1 more thing Kennedy can play such a big part in this side being tough if he is prepared to get down & get dirty, no more nancyboy stuff from him he has to turn up every week & hurt the opposition.

Out of the squad we have, two players I would let go would be Arona and Symonds.
Arona has done nothing wrong but I feel bosden could replace him and even do a better job if he stays injury free. He seems to run with more speed and aggression and has a good pass before the line like Arona.
Personally I think Symonds is just a poor mans Aubusson. Again, he has done nothing wrong but with Aubs as an option, I think it is too hard for Symonds to be selected.
I could live with letting Cherro go if we had kept Taka but now I think it is worth hanging on to him at minimum salary

The problem with Cherrington is that he still has no experience.

It's not just a matter of injury, it's a matter of games under his belt.

I'd love for him to stay and think he's a real talent, but I'd prefer to have someone in the pack who's played 200 plus games.

LO'D age and match experience is an asset.

                    LOD will kick A$$

All opposition will get the $hit$ knocked outta them from LOD

LOD knows the way to the final

Sorry Cherro but you made of glass mate good thing we patched you up & gave you time to get better now you can go get a deal

I cant understand the negativity surrounding arona. Im not trying to suggest he is a gun or anything like that but players like him, bosden, symonds, cherro who have ability and atm are strong first grade fill ins but are happy to play the majority of the season in reserves are assets imo. A test of a great team is depth and to have blokes like those I just mentioned running around for the jets more often than not when we are full strength is good for the club. That said, they are all early 20s players who when given the chance in the past have shown glimpses of loads of untapped potential which is another reason to keep them.

Thats why FPN in the one Id rather get rid of, the fact he is on decent money aside, while he is experienced, his inconsistency is inexcusable and as others have pointed out, he has somewhat reached his potential. He is also a walk-up first grade starter which means that if its about 'making room' for LOD/new signings, it makes far more sense to replace an existing walk-up starter instead of a talented reserve grader.

Arona and Bosden and very good players in their own right, they both have big motors, are team players, have big motors and always give 100%.

FPN on the other hand is a lazy pea heart who occasionally puts in, but for the most part bludges through most games and yet still picks up a nice fat pay check.

Give me Arona and Bosden over this idiot every day of the week.

Can take or leave Arona. He hasn't set the world on fire but hasn't done anything startingly wrong either. FPN is an enigma. When he wants to play he can be dynamite. I can still remember him taking on Adam Blair and the rest of the Storm pack almost singlehandedly back in 2010. Bosden.....a lot of people on here wet themselves about him, but he's in the same boat as Arona in my opinion. I'm yet to see what's so great about the guy.

FPN, when he's on song, is pretty devastating.

He's also coming up to that sweet 150+ games patch.

I wouldn't be shopping Frank anywhere

I have to agree. Of all those mentioned, FPN would have to be the worst value for money. Im not a big fan of LOD but if we were clearing the decks for him, I would prefer to see the back of FPN than a couple of our hard working youngsters.
The only thing in FPNs favour is the fact that he is still reasonably young and may develop some cinsistency with age.

This could be FPN's year. We know he has the skills and toughness to dominate matches. Its time for him to step up and I reckon he will do it.
