Hope NSW keep picking Pearce for SOO.
There's a reason why the young and idealistic become the old and cynical.
    It's called experience.

      do you?
recent years have proven that he struggles in origin matches, and to compensate for nsw losses, pearce has been the scapegoat, which cant be good for his confidence. soo is probably the reason he fades in the last 7 or so rounds of the season.

Really honest interview, refreshing for a pro footballer these days.
I agree 6, it is refreshing to hear a footy player not rattle of cliche after cliche. He's obviously getting some media training, still too many ums, but he's getting better. I laughed at what he said about Sonny Bill when asked about Botha "he's pretty sensitive about that".

If we are to be a top 4 side Mitch now needs to be a top 4 halfback.

        Chook.

I'd be happy to see none of our players picked in a rep team, tbo.

Rep games have been a sore point with me for decades. Disruptive & potentially season ending for the star players.
How many of you would like to see Pearce & Maloney picked for SOO?
Then have both of them sustain a bad injury..........there goes the season.

            totally agree fitty six.
i would rather the roosters have no origin reps and win the comp than have maloney and pearce play origin and win, but suffer season ending inuries.

23 year old with 130 first grade games and handful of origins. All the while at arguably the most inconsistent and most scrutinised club in the NRL, playing arguably the most scrutinised position on a football field. There's only two halves I would have over him. Thurston and Cronk. I for am glad we still have him.

All gone into hybernation have you.
Is anyone going to be man enough to say "I was wrong?".
I may need to go into archive threads and shame you all one by one.
wasnt one of them claiming to be pearce's best friend saying that he was definately going to be a dragon? Shows how much pearce trusts his best mate!

Time for our next captain to step up and show everyone that he can be a leader and direct the team around the field. I want him to play what he sees in front of him and have the ability to trust his instincts. Sometimes it seems he has a preconceived mindset to kick on the third or fourth tackle, and although something opens up for him, will still kick.

That was the first thing i noticed, wasn't as many um's and ah's. He seems more matured then last year!

I had to go to the Parramatta site to find out how our Ball and Matthews sides went, I should not of bothered, Ball lost 24 to 6, Mathews got flogged 48 to 6, no wonder nothing showning on the official website.

Take C.Smith out of the equation and he wouldn't even know how to tie his own shoe laces. Just my Opinion....
He reminds me of Shane Watson.

                                A manufactured player.
