Fairly easy start fir him tbh. Other coaches inherit teams with crappy rosters and fans/board members expect them to work miracles ala stephen kearney. I think that robbo will be here for at least 2 years, especially now that Bellamy has re-signed with the storm, even though according to slothfield he had already signed with us for 2013. Maybe he was talking about a different craig Bellamy.
after we over-achieved in 2008, and even with the roster we had back then, i dont think too many people thought we would miss the eight let alone come last.
        let's not count our chickens...

robbo just needs to get them to gel.
during the gibbo years we had the basis of the team who had been at the club for a number of seasons. brass. peard. axe harris mullins blended with experienced signings and youth. (bruce pickett fairfax schubert walters) i see similarity with the 2013 team.
management seem to be on the case i hope our team is too.

Keen to see an improvement. Anywhere inside the top 8 is a successful season after last year.

The key is consistency, we didn't even have that in 2010. Robbo gets that and he's done his job, results will fall into place.

no excuses for the team. A settled off-season, excellent player gains. Now the team needs to produce

On paper, they're capable of a title.

But we've had a lot of teams like that over the years.

Still its a buzz to the season start, not even a single dummy half marker now either!

We've gone from $hit kickers to a team laden with hope and talent.

Every part of the field has somebody who can create excitement!!!!

Last year NOBODY could create excitement. Our best players for a while have been guys like Pearce/Mini who are safe and talented but offer no x-factor.

During Origin EVERYBODY gets revved up when Jennings touches the ball. SBW is the most known NRL AND rugby player. Sheck vs Morris... BOOM!!! Can't wait. JWH & LOD will MENNACE respectable forward packs.

Then we have Pearce and Maloney in the middle. Realistically they could be the first winning NSW Origin pairing in a looooong time!!!!

To quote Big Kev... I'M EXCITED!!!!

It's been a big off-season in recruitment but thats it.

It means nothing if they dont completely change their attitude toward defence & having Mini Pearce & Friend as the spine is the major worry.
I personally dont believe the Rossters can win a comp with that spine, I dont believe they can win a comp with Pearce & Friend in the side together.

The dragons won a comp with Boyd - Soward - Hornby - Young and a pack and backline that imo on talent we eclipse. While I am of the firm belief that the dragons were fortunate in that the comp was particularly weak over the period in which they were strong (which is why their simple game plan paid dividends and why that even now with virtually the same squad they arent even seen as a top 8 side), its not like teams with bad spines havent done it before. That said, we have the NSW halves pairing, cameron smith's successor in 9 and the club captain and former golden bootwinner at fullback with blokes like SKD, jennings and SBW around them creating opportunities. What team has all that?

You dont think the dogs current gf spine of barba-reynolds-keating-ennis is worse? I certainly do.

The game plan and style have a lot to do with it, they played high percentage kicks and low percentage attack low turn overs and won the penalty count boring shit but it worked.
