agree Chook, Maubs is clinging on to a first grade spot by his fingernails, if we had a full strength squad to pick from I doubt he would now make the top 17

And there lies the problem. People seem to have good memories of him in 09, but three years out of NRL is an age. The role of players in different positions is constantly changing adapting to new attacking and defensive structures.

I can't believe that some people have said that they would include him in their 17 if he is fit. He needs at least 6 months of NSW cup and good form to warrant a selection wherever he goes. One year out of our comp is hard enough, but 3 years is an Everest to climb.

Good luck to him. What he is doing is very brave. He has worked a lot in the community trying to right his wrongs and make amends for his past life. I hope that he gets a shot in NRL, but with regards to our club's decision, looking forward, I think we made the right call. I just hope that our club ditches Symmonds if he doesn't get his act together by the end of the year.
        Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

What bone disease are you talking about? And how has that affected him so far?

That's the way I see it.

Maubs needs to spend an off season with Dank or Ivan Drago, he needs more size.

Totally agree with this, and I reckon it's something that will bite us on the backside with regards Sonny Jim's lack of a pre season.
