Weak forward pack, especially their bench, who do they have out other than Woods at prop. I have a feeling Tigers may struggle this year especially with depth, nevertheless it will be a good hit out before Souths round 1.

And those knocking banasta are just being a bit spiteful...he's actually a good player and will value add to the tigers." A man can only walk as far as he can see"

Mini still trying to adapt from a previous four years out with an injury vs a current, fit and healthy Moltzen ?- Moltzen, then again, mini played much Better than Moltzen when we played them last year. I'll never forget that steal that he made on Murdoch-masila which was near impossible.Comment of the year:

Take Benji and Farah out of the tigers, and you have one of the worst and most overrated teams in the history of the NRL. Lawrence and Ayshford are seriously overrated, as are most of their forward pack. And how did they fix that problem last year........ they signed the one player who has won the overrated player award 3 years running.
I read somewhere, I think it was last season or the season before, that 80% of their trys come through Benji Marshall setting up plays. Can you imagine how funny it would be if Benji got injured and Bwaiff had to slot in at 6. I don't think that they'll ever score a try again.
They do have some young hope in Koribette ,Tedesco and Woods. But they are still very green. Their biggest problem was getting rid of Players who had been around for ages and given their club an identity. The heighington's, Ryan's and Gibbs's of the team have all gone and this team list doesn't really have the same ring to it.

for those interested the whole foundation cup press conference is now up on the roosters website
must say its a pleasure not to have to sit through any more BS laden Smith/Anasta media conferences, Robbo is straight to the point and not scared to voice his opinion

Something about Robo in that press conference, I think this guy is a smart coach, and appears a great choice for the Roosters
As for Mini, and the team,
If our defence does become top shelf, then other teams will use the kicking game against us more.
Mini's defence is reliable as far as defusing kicks etc, and we do appear to have more strike power in attack now.
So maybe Mini's attack is not as vital, in the new structure.
Mini in attack would be better as a support runner, than a hole runner (Maloney style).

Injury Update
Monday 18 February 2013 10:00 AM
In 2013, the Sydney Roosters Online team will work closely with our Medical Staff to keep you up-to-date with any injuries sustained and the progress of all unavailable players.
Make this your first stop after every round, this NRL season, to stay up-to-date with all the injury news.
PRE-SEASON (Week 16)
Tautau Moga
Sydney Roosters young-gun Tautau Moga suffered an ACL injury in the first week of pre-seasom training, at the end of 2012. The incident happened in a non-contact training drill.
Moga began running this week, for the first time since having a knee reconstruction. He is expected to return to action midway through 2013.
Jack Bosden
Utility forward Jack Bosden has had a disrupted 2013 pre-season due to hip surgery at the back end of last year.
Bosden has returned to training, on a lighter workload than the full squad and is on track for a return in the first half of the NRL season.
Lama Tasi
Hard-hitting Lama Tasi suffered a minor setback at the beginning of 2013 with a knee complaint requiring minor surgery (arthroscope).
Lama is now back training, on a lighter workload than the full squad and is aiming for a return in Round 3 of the NRL season.
