I wouldn't be surprised if he and Liu only play the first 20 mins and then get some game time in the first grade trial.

I'm not convinced about that Fletch. I suspect that Robbo wants both Friend & Seluini to get some significant game time, and he can only do that by starting Sel with the Jets. I'd think Jake is going to get a good long workout, probably at least 60 min. So the only way Sel can get a decent run is to play extended time for the Jets.

I am sure you are right.. Sel may get 10-15 minutes in the first grade game during garbage time.

a few interesting selection choices from Robbo

                        - Maubs ahead of Guerra in the backrow
                        - Seluini dumped to NSW cup with Mortimer the bench utility
                        - Liu picked ahead of Ailoamai as bench prop
                        - where is Kennedy is he injured?
                        - bench looks a bit ordinary without some of our injured forwards

looks like we are having a bit of an injury crisis in our forwards

                        - Tasi out till rnd 2-3 (knee)
                        - SBW obtaining match fitness return round 1
                        - Bosden out indefinate (shoulder/hip injuries)
                        - Evans return unknown (back/hamstring injuries)
                        - Symonds likely to be released (also recovering from shoulder reconstruction)
                        - Kennedy unknown why he is not playing this week.

its very important for dummy halfs to work on combinations with his 6/7 and front rowers, highly doubt Seluini would be working on match fitness at Newtown if Robbo was serious about using him early in the season.

just noticed that Liu has been named in both teams, I wonder if there has been a training mishap with Kennedy today that hasn't been leaked yet.

full strength backline so that will be most interesting to watch. o'sullivan is the most interesting selection imo especially when you consider wells doesnt feature either. Ive never been a fan of his but obviously he has had a decent enough pre-season to put him ahead of guys like henry and wells
